You can customize your profile here. You can change the way it looks, backgrounds, images, buttons, etc.
Each component of your profile has a separate setting block.

You can change fonts with the drop downs.
You can change colours by entering colour codes, as explained on the sites I list in my post below.
You can also use images as background for parts of your profile or as your borders and buttons. To do this, you can upload images to your profile album and add the link/url here.
You can display your images in several ways by repeating them horizontal, vertical, both or not at all.
You can see a preview, by clicking the appropriate button.
Please click 'save' to preserve the settings you have changed.

[top]Advanced profile customization

You can use gradients and images, in combination with the repeat function, to create advanced looks. If you are handy with designer programs like illustrator, photoshop, etc, then all will be clear. But for those who want a quick way to do this, here are some tips.

Find or generate images online.
Upload these to your album.
Then go to your userCP and add the url (link) of these images to your profile customization.
Use the repeat function to let the image repeat itself horizontally, vertically or both.
Look at the bottom of the userCP page where you can edit your profile, to check what is what.
Keep a second browser window open with your profile and refresh that after any change, to see if you like the difference.

- Use google images to find what you need.

You can also change your details, add a video or add a profile picture.

Please find your introduction post in the New member introduction and post this under: edit your details -> introduction

The 'About me' tab shows the text and information that you have entered as your details.
If you post a blog, then this will be visible on your profile.
If you join any groups of interest, then this is linked from your profile as well.

You can add a youtube video to your profile. Edit your profile, enter title and youtube ID. Thats it. The youtube ID is the part of the url that comes after http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

You can upload an avatar, which will be shown on your profile, on in every post and practically at any other place on the site.

Donating members can upload a animated avatar.

You can post a visitor message on someones profile. Visitor messages are public and therefore different from PM's.

As part of your user profile, you have space in which you can create albums and upload pictures to each album.

How to create a picture album

Click on the User CP click on the Control Panel option.
Click on the "Albums & Pictures" button under the left sidebar labeled "Networking".
Click on the Add Album button at the top of the screen.
Enter a title and description for the album. Select whichever option appeals to you, public or private, then click the submit button.

How to add pictures to a photo album

You can add pictures to your public profile's photo albums.

Click on the User CP click on the Control Panel option.
Click on the "Albums & Pictures" button under the left sidebar labeled "Networking".
Click on the album in which you wish to add pictures. See the How to add picture albums section if you have no albums.
Click the "upload pictures" button in the top left corner of the screen.
Use the "browse" button to find the specific folder in which the picture you wish to upload is located. Then select the picture and click the "Upload Pictures" button.
A screen will popup giving you the option to create a caption for the image. Also to the left of the box in which you type a caption, there is a thumbnail of the image and how it will look just so you can be sure you uploaded the correct image. If it is the incorrect image, there is an option where you can delete the image instead of finishing the upload process. If everything looks good, then click the "Save Changes" button.
PLease be aware of the following: You can opt to have your albums visible for contacts and friends only or have them visible for public. Do not use Pics from limited albums for use on your posts, as they are only visible to your contacts which is against the thought of public information availability. In the case of using pics for posts please use only pictures from public albums, or even better, use the attachment function to add them to a post.

If you have friends here, then you can invite them and have them listed on your profile.
You can see if your friends are online, by going to the navigation bar -> userCP -> open contacts.You can quickly send a DM from there.
Friends are also listed with a + sign next to their name in 'who's online' on the main forum index.
