This page is a chapter in the book Faq.
Drugs Forum relies on donations to operate. We do not run banners or advertisements. Drugs Forum has bandwidth costs, hosting costs, url costs, software costs and hardware costs. The popularity of the sites have become so enormous, that costs have sky rocketed and funding is much needed.

Hardware expansion and new servers are vital to grow and to allow the ever increasing number of visitors, members and new functionality. There are many expansions of drugs-forum planned, which can take place after we get a new server. The total site will get much faster. Donating members get a large package of extra functions, which can be found at the bottom of this page plus access to restricted areas. This will make browsing and using this site a very different experience.

[top]Donation levels

There are 6 levels of donating:
  1. Donating members have contributed between €3.50 a week and €50 a year.
  2. Site Supporters have contributed €100 or more.
  3. Site Sponsors have contributed €500 or more.
  4. Site Benefactors have contributed €1.000 or more.
  5. Site Patrons have contributed €2.500 or more.
  6. Site Patrons+ have contributed €10.000 or more.


If you donate, then as a thanks for your support, you will receive donating member functions for a certain amount of time:
€ 3.50 - 1 week (minimum donation)
€ 5.00 - 2 weeks
€ 7.50 - 1 month
€ 10.00 - 2 months
€ 20.00 - 4 months
€ 30.00 - 6 months
€ 40.00 - 8 months
€ 50.00 - 1 year

*excluding transfer fees that PayPal calculates (4.5%)

[top]What does it cost to run Drugs-Forum?

Projected costs and income for 2013:

Hosting costs: € 20.200
Extra server & SLA: € 6.700
Needed chat server & SLA: €1500
Software development: €9.000
Software licenses: €2.500

Total expected costs: €39.900

The costs for the extra server & SLA depend upon the time the current setup start to cause performance issues. This may be around summer or fall depending on site popularity and hardware performance.

We need €3.325 per month.
Donations bring in around €1675 per month.

We therefore need to raise €1650 more.

[top]Donating by sending cash by mail:

Euro's are welcome. Please exchange currency into Euro's before sending. Do not send cheques or coupons, because many can not be cashed in Holland.
As said you can donate anonymous by sending money through normal mail.

Note that this is the only correct address to send cash donations to:

Do not use registered mail, because this is a P.O. box and there is no one to sign for the shipment.

When sending cash, only send paper, no coins. Please make sure the envelope does not show there is money inside. There are many ways to do this secure. Some suggestions:
Put the money in a envelope, which is placed in a second envelope.
Put the money between cardboard.
Put the money in a cd casing. (between the back and the cd holder)

Make sure to include a note with your account name.

To donate by Ukash, go to your nearest Ukash retailer or online Ukash vendor and buy a voucher. Then submit a donating support ticket and list the Ukash PIN number, the value of the voucher, the currency, and your DF account name.

Ukash is fully anonymous, and can be bought at 420.000 retail locations, post offices, ATM's, petrol stations, etc. You can locate retailers by going to www.ukash.com selecting your country and then go to the 'get Ukash' page.

Ukash is also available online, making it possible to pay with pretty much any payment method.

PayPal offers 'My Cash' cards which can be bought at stores in the US. Its likely that the locations will be expanded to other retail locations and other countries soon. With such card you can load cash into your PayPal account to donate to DF.
