[top]Introduction to 5F-PB-22

5F-PB-22 is a derivative of PB-22, having a fluorine atom at the terminal carbon of the pentyl chain, 5F-PB-22 acts as a full agonist for both the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors, with a significantly higher binding affinity for the CB2 receptor over the CB1 receptor. 5F-PB-22 is a novel cannabinoid, first appearing on the market in late the 2012 to early 2013 time frame. There is limited information on the pharmacological and toxicological properties of this compound.

[top]Ways of Administration

The most common route of administration for 5F-PB-22 is by vaporizing and inhaling the byproduct of its combustion thus absorbing the compound through the lungs. 5F-PB-22 is also laced onto a dried plant material and smoked out of a pipe. Alternatively 5F-PB-22 can be consumed orally as with many other cannabinoid, by the addition of a carrier which is high in fat content. Examples of a carrier are whole milk, cream, butter, peanut butter, and olive oil.

[top]The Dangers of 5F-PB-22

It is well know that inhaling the byproduct of combustion is harmful no matter what the object may be. The danger however is significantly increased with 5F-PB-22 due to the fact that it is a research chemical and has yet to undergo any sort of formal studies. Like wise the consumption of any drug by a person whom is either mentally unfit or has a family history of mental illness is dangerous as the drug may potentiate the onset of some sort of psychotic behavior.
