A new range of psychedelics have started to enter the
research chemical scene. Researchers headed by
David E. Nichols at Purdue are making new versions of old psychedelics (mainly those first synthesized by Alexander
Shulgin) as well as other novel psychedelic compounds.
25C-NBOMe is derived from the psychedelic phenethylamine 2C-C (4-chloro-2,5-dimethoxylphenethylamine) by substitution on the amine with a 2-methoxybenzyl (BOMe) group.
This addition to the molecule makes it much, much more potent and more psychedelic than 2C-C, with a strong dose being 1mg+ compared to 40mg+ for 2C-C
The
drug is a very potent partial agonist of the 5HT-2A receptor (which belongs to the
serotonin group of receptors) giving it its psychedelic effects. It is around 5 x the potency of LSD when insufflated, but reportedly displays relatively weak activity when dosed orally.

Insufflated
(dissolved in water):
Light - 50-200 µg (0.05 - 0.2 mg)
Mild - 200-350 µg (0.2 - 0.35 mg)
Strong - 350-700 µg (0.35 - 0.7 mg)
Very strong - 700 µg -1200 µg (0.7 - 1.2mg)
Insanity - 1200 µg+ (1.2 mg+)
Fatal dose - Unknown but several have died from 25C-NBOMe
Never snort 25C-NBOMe pure, as the dose is too small. Always use a proper milligram scale.

Extreme patterning
Masses of vibrant colouring
Strong sound distortion - sounds leaking in and out of rooms and into the user
Very strong electric spasmodic body high
Complete ego loss
Loss of self
Loss of location, being, time, space etc
Inability to function at all normally
Slight nausea but passes quickly
