Noise

Swim tried searching around but had trouble finding anything devoted specifically to this, if there is, swim would greatly appreciate a link.
that said, swim has made a cracker out of pvc parts and found that although effective, it was crude and it often leaked so swim is going to invest in a "real" cracker or a dispenser, his question is, how loud are dispensers and crackers, which is the louder of the two? because swim's homemade cracker would always let out this piercing "crack" (makes sense right?) and was wondering if dispensers curb this noise at all or if metal crackers are just as noisy. thanks in advance

peace

Re: Noise

The store bought ones are pretty loud. You can deaden the sound though. There is an excellent thread about making a homemade silencer.

Re: Noise

swim tried some foam on its dispenser nozzle as a thread suggests, and was quite quiet but seemed to cause nos leakage at other areas and balloon only filled up to 1/3 of its normal bouncy self!

so will have to try some different style/density foam, swim was impressed with the noise suppression though

Re: Noise

SWIM is wondering why insulation is necessary

Can't some music be played to mask the noise?
