Hi, I read somewhere last year that Endo Pharma won a court battle to produce generic Oxycontin but did not start because the court decision had been challenged by Purdue. Does anyone know where this is at? Y |

Hi Mr. Jim, Thankyou for this. Is it availible in Canada, if sowho should I ask my Pharmacist to order from? Sorry for my ignorance but is Swimm a manufacturerlike Endo or a distributer of generics? I've never seen any of their products in the Toronto area. Thanks again, Y |

Lol, I think that the generics are being made in Mexico - I don't know if they are available in Canada. Swim is sometimes a distributor, sometimes a manufacturer and sometimes a consumer. I can see how you might have found it confusing in this context. SWIM stands for Someone who isn't me. It is an acronym people use so that they don't potentially incriminate themselves online. No one on this website does anything illegal, but they all know a SWIM who does. I don't know where you could find them; there is a sources forum that tackles such questions. If you have a presciption through your doctor, he would probably be your best bet to find out that. Medication in general is much cheaper in canada, so your other presciption shouldn't set you back like it does for Americans. Any questions feel free to PM or respond here, Peace, Jimbo |

Hi, and thanks for the acronim lesson. If the 80mg tablets pictured are not time release, I'm probably already getting the 20mg version which are inexpensive compared to Purdu's product. At the pharmacist 200 x 40mg Oxycontin is not cheap so I hope ENDO starts selling the generic in Canada soon. If anyone hears something I think it would be worthy of a new T^hread but please give me a headsup also. Y |

SWIM tried it. Now SWIM of course does not condone nor endorse the diversion of narcotic medicaments. Yet if you think of giving these the same treatment you would with Purdue's forget it, no gauge for such a thick jelly, providedyou don't mindit wandering about your inner highways forever. It came oncefrom a source in a nation with a few stars on the flag, obviously not 50. Then s/he switched. too much. Perro |

Don't think so. Was all over Mexico buying OC's and they were as expensive as from a dealer in the states. Reason given was that OC was NOT manufactured anywhere in Mexico. Heard it in a few places. - B |

Hi, If they are availible in Canada they seem to be under the radar. I checked with my own pharma (connected to dr.'s office) and a national franchize. Generic Oxycontin is not yet availible in Canada was their Mantra. I think waiting for Endo will probably be the way I go, since I still only pay 10% of retail but it adds up to $1400.00cdn a year. I assume the cellulose wouldn't affect people trying to induce a quicker releaseduring oral consumption (crushing it up then swallowing), only for the mainliners...right? |

They now have 20 40 and 80's that are generic. You can tell the diffrence the brand name is smoother like a fine scotch where as the generic are rough and uncivilized. When you crush a 80 generic it has little balls inside which may be the main line (as i call it) inhibitor. Does anyone remember the old Willy Mays public service announcement, for BLASTING CAPS "Don't Touch Them! Willie Mays says: Tell a police or a fireman, whatever it is. Have fun like I do - with those, and not with these " boys and girls the generic and the brand name are all good but them there80's are BLASTING CAPS. Edited by: FLYFISHER |

The endo generic definatly sucks, when the 40s are crushed up they appear to be almost 2 brand name 80mg tabs. Injection is quite hard due to all the crap in it. Experience being more water the better, but the more injections must be preformed due to the amount of water, usually 2 full 1cc syringes.

The generics are designed to not be abuseable. They contain a gelling agent which makes injection practically impossible. They don't crush well at all without the aid of a mortar and pestle. And when snorted whatever is in them interferes with the absorption. Not to mention the next day you'll be hacking up gummi bears from the gel. The picture of the 93/33 green oval I saw are made by teva, which only makes the 80mg strength. You are better off just swallowing the teva's. They only advantage is that they are about 2/3rds the price at the pharmacy. That is if your medical insurance doesn't cover them and you have to pay out of pocket. I think the generics suck.
