Combinations - Would Suboxone Alter the Effects of Kratom?

Greetings All,
Swim has had a few positive experiences with Kratom in the past but wouldn't say it was enough to prefer it to regular opiates. However, swim no longer takes opiates and is on Suboxone Treatment (buprenorphine and naloxone), which fills and blocks opiate recepts completely and will block any opiate by making it bounce off of the receptors. According to swim's understanding, since Kratom works on Opioid receptors in the brain, very similarly to opiates, would the Suboxone have a similar blocking effect with Kratom as it does opiates? While Subs are great and got swim off dope, he still desires to get high somehow and feel something other than "normal". Kratom is one of the few legal alternatives that swim has tried with successful results, leaving very few options other than a different variety of drug.

It also just brings up an interesting question that I had little success finding much direct information on. Any help or advice is welcome and thank you all.
