Syrupy opium
Swim managed to scrape up 3 grammes of raw opium from roughly 40 poppies (they barely bled, and it rained constantly). Still , it's better than nothing, and was fairly enjoyable growing them.
The opium when dried was fairly hard and only slightly sticky, but with a very pungent -nice - smell. Swim dissolved and filtered the opium which caught quite a lot of plant matter and resulted in a very amber liquid, which was evaporated over a period of five days. Swim should note, he cannot use his oven as it is fucked and only goes to one setting - which is about 200 degrees. So it dried out in the spare room and out in the sun when it wasn't raining. It was about 7 days ago that all the water evaporated, which has left a dark brown syrupy substance on the glass tray. Swim hoped this substance would get more hard and drier over time, but doesn't appear to be doing so. Anyone have any similar experiences, or any ideas about how to dry it? He considered putting it in the microwave on defrost, but is scared it might kill the opiates.
