Quantitative analysis of 33 benzodiazepines, metabolites and benzodiazepine-like substances in whole blood by liquid chromatography-(tandem) mass spectrometry (2004)
File Archive
A new entry has been added to Drug Testing Documents Description: J Chromatogr B Analyt Technol Biomed Life Sci 2004 Nov 5;811(1):13-20 Smink BE, Brandsma JE, Dijkhuizen A, Lusthof KJ, de Gier JJ, Egberts AC, Uges DR. A quantitative method using high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS, ion trap) after matrix supported liquid-liquid extraction is described for the simultaneous determination in whole blood of 33 benzodiazepines including metabolites and benzodiazepine-like substances. The limits of detection (LOD) range from 0.0001 to 0.0126 mg/l. Linearity is satisfactory for all compounds. The extraction recoveries for the benzodiazepines in whole blood are between 60 and 91%, desmethyldiazepam, OH-bromazepam and brotizolam excepted. Selectivity, accuracy and precision are satisfactory for clinical and forensic purposes To check it out, rate it or add comments, visit Quantitative analysis of 33 benzodiazepines, metabolites and benzodiazepine-like substances in whole blood by liquid chromatography-(tandem) mass spectrometry (2004) The comments you make there will appear in the posts below. Re: Quantitative analysis of 33 benzodiazepines, metabolites and benzodiazepine-like
Phew boy, benzos will F you over if you don't find an M.D. to write you a prescription. Many moons ago, I took Diazepam (a.k.a. Valium) for 2 weeks as a sleep aid, and it showed up months later on a drug panel. Diazepam is especially bad, since both it and its metabolite oxazepam have half-lives of *about* 1,000 years... But they're all really terrible in terms of elimination time.
If you like benzos, find a quack, it's cheaper and safer! |
