Culture - salvia effecting other drug tolerances or something else?

swim did salvia for the first time today, used 20x extract and did it between two of his best friends. after it had kind of worn off(swim was actually rather impressed it was his second favorite hallucinogen after acid) swim took one shot of 100 proof vodka, now usually this would just make swim tired but for some reason he felt rather drunk... he passed it off as just his mind playing tricks with him and tried to continue the conversation about how everyone felt during the trip, but he passed out! then 3 hours later back home with a migraine his mom gave him a vicoden(hydrocodone 5/ some miscellaneous amount of acetomeniphen) and for some reason he got really high... swim has a bit of opiate tolerance he needs about 10 mg of oxy to feel anything(as opposed to his starting dose of 5 when he had no tolerance) but for 5 mg of hydrocodone to make swim as high as he is now... its inconceivable. did it just open him up more to the effects of other drugs? lower his tolerance? does anyone have any thoughts?
