Adderall to good..

My friend has been getting adderall once a month from his doctor, and each month the bottle runs out faster, and faster. Its to good, he feels AMAZING for like 4-5 hours then feels like total shit after he starts coming down, and cant help but re-dose, sometimes twice a day. Then he cant sleep all night which also makes him EXTREMELY tired the next day. When he starts coming down for day number 2, he doesnt want to sleep just yet and snorts a few more and is instantly wide awake. This is getting out of hand, and that scares him. He wishes he never went in for this shit. When he runs out, he has the urge to go buy some other upper off the street. Luckily he is broke and doesn't know where to find such a thing. He has very little will power when it comes to not redoseing and was just wondering if anyone knew any tips or tricks that have helped them to wait it out? Thank GOD he only gets 30 a month or this could turn into something more serious than it all ready is. Just wondering, he understands will power probably has everything to with it but was just curious if someone has found a way. Thanks.

Re: Adderall to good..

Absolutely! I am very passionate about this cause, which is why I joined. I feel like I lost my daughter for 4 years because of adderall. Our family tried everything, and I mean everything to get her off the drug. The only thing that worked was a supplement called Ampheta-Restore. She went from taking 60mg of Adderall per day to only needing a 15mg once in the morning to help her adhd symptoms. This stuff is great and I have told countless other friends and family members about it. I hope this helps!

Re: Adderall to good..

Ah yes, SWIM used to be a very accomplished magician himself. His most famous trick? Making 90 Adderall tablets disappear right before your eyes! You'll watch in amazement as swiDecoyPencil rips through a months supply of pills in just 2 - 4 days!
Oh man, to this day SWIM misses it sometimes. SWIM agress, it is a little TOO good sometimes. So SWIM ended up acting on the urge to buy some from the street. First he moved to pure dextroamphetamine from a friend's script, then to the naughty M word named meth. This led to a several year long obsession with meth and dextroamp, so SWIM wouldn't particularly recommend this route.
Once SWIM managed to regain a bit of control he noted a few things that helped him make the time between scripts seem faster.

1. Pick a "last call" time for Adderall

Nothing beats the feeling of a nice dose after a good night of sleep. SWIM hates the washed out, zombie-like feeling that he got if he was awake for a few days or more. It often distinctly felt tired and that the Adderall was the ONLY thing keeping him from falling face-first into his Cheerios. SWIM found that it helped him a lot to have a "last call" time that would allow him about 3 - 5 hours of sleep (which is SWIM's preferred amount, speed or no speed). For SWIM, that worked out to be 10 PM. That is, he knew that if he redosed after this time, he would end up with that washed out crap feeling the next day. he used this as his motivation for not dosing after 10 (he pictured himself literally doing a face plant into his bowl of Cheerios at work the next day haha). This improved the quality of each day, and made his script last a lot longer.

2. Try to love the comedown, not hate it

Sort of related to my first point. As much as comedowns suck, they can be beneficial with a bit of planning ahead. If SWIY can estimate when the comedown will begin, it makes for a great opportunity to things that one might not do while on Adderall. For example, SWIM would use the opportunity to have a big meal, a nap, or to work out without being afraid of SWIM's heart exploding. Right before SWIM stopped using for good, he was at a point where he actually looked forward to many of his comedowns . Plus the time between scripts can help a bit with tolerance levels.

3. Supplements and such

Mainly a vitamin b complex and tyrosine. Vitamin b seemed to help a bit with the lethargy and tyrosine as a dopamine precursor. A few others might be useful, but there are tons of threads here about supplements for coming off of amphetamine so I won't drag this out more than that )

4. Alternatives

Not really the best option in SWIM's opinion, but some people use different things that provide a similar feeling. Proplyhexedrine (from Benzedrex) nasal inalers is are somewhat common because they can be bought OTC. SWIM says that although proplyhexedrine seems to produce a comparable feeling, it had a few extra side effets and a horrid smell / taste. SWIM used it many times, but eventually decided that it wasn't worth the trouble for SWIM. There is a thread here with tons of information on propylhexedrine if SWIY wanted to know more.
Other than that, SWIM just basically slept a lot and ate a lot, while passing the time!

That stuff sounds like snake oil. No peer reviewed testing, no mentions anywhere other then forums and it's own sales site, come on now? I can't help but think of John R. Brinkly, a flim-flamer who would sew goat testicles into the scrotum's of foolish men, telling them it would restore lost vitality. You don't get smarter eating the brains of smart people, you can't replace your liver by eating beef liver, and I'm rather sure you can't fix damaged adrenal glands by eating cow adrenals either.

Re: Adderall to good..

Haha, thats exactly what I was thinking when I looked at the website for the stuff. Sure, 2 or 3 of the ingredients might help aid recovery, but the stuff makes it sound like the CURE for all problems related to amphetamine use. A little dubious if their claims are taken into consideration.

Re: Adderall to good..

There's also been lots of posts at places like bluelight et. al. with posts from new members with less than 5 posts, all saying things which vary from the joker in the thread, "My Daughter.....blahblah" to "I tried it and I can feel my pills again"

I call BULLSHIT on the product and the jackass who posted about it. He's an obvious shill.

If not, he should be arrested for child welfare endangerment.
Think about it..
If YOUR daughter had a raging out of control adderall addiction and you felt like you lost her to the drug for 4 years, would you A) get her off it and find an alternative to avoid the potential for future trouble with a known substance of abuse.... B) Give her some suppliments and 1/4 of her prefered dose of the medication you lost her to for 4 years?

Give me a break...

I did post about the Ampheta-Restore product, and, first of all my daughter is a 22 year old college student, so I'm not sure your child welfare endangerment insults apply to me. I'm merely a concerned parent who has spent countless hours and dollars to try and find a solution to this problem. My daughter is very strong willed and has been on her own since she was 18, however those of you who are parents know how difficult it is for us to try and lay by the wayside and do nothing when their child is in pain. My youngest son alerted me of my daughter's adderall use and abuse a year ago. Since then, we have been in and out of countless doctor's offices and have tried many different therapies and products. Her dependency on adderall is far from over, however, it has been controlled with the help of her willingness and products like Ampheta-Restore. If you want to ask me specific questions about her journey, what our family has done to help her, and products that we have tried then feel free to personally email me at ............

I don't know much about this product, but its been helping my friend too. I am glad your daughter is much better. I really understand what you must be going through as I have seen my friend suffering through adrenal fatigue syndrome, it is bad. Well good luck to your daughter.

Christian,
I have mentioned about something helping my friend in this forum plenty of times. Well, maybe you can suggest it to your friend also and it may help him. It is a recovery aid called " ampheta-restore", this got quite good benefits and I have seen improvements in my friend. These are few benefits taken directly from the website of this aid,
  • Reverses tolerance.
  • Decreases dependency.
  • Decreases moodiness.
  • Detoxifies the body.
  • Increases medication effectiveness.
  • Improves quality of sleep.
It helps stimulant users from the coffee dependent to the Adderall prescribed people and people lacking energy and sleep, stress depression. I can speak from my friend's experience it is effective. Just google the name and you will find the website and check it out, it explains in details about the ingredients involved and their benefits and stuff.

I hope your friend feels better....best wishes

Re: Adderall to good..

SWIY should also really try to limit the amount he uses every day to a certian amount because taking 4X the amount for a week and waiting 3 weeks is certianly a pain.

SWIM can relate that having a whole bottle he will take a bunch and not limit himself because he is thinking "well theres a whole bottle full". Just set a limit for SWIY and put those in SWIY's pocket, the rest try to hide it and forget about it. That with the "last call" method from SWIDecoyPencil will help SWIY out alot.

Also about the comedown, if SWIY can switch to generics if he isnt already taking them that will help alot. The adderall XR's are suposed to be a very long timed release, but the generics are instant release, so SWIY wont feel as crappy. Its hard to explain, but next time SWIM could just ask the pharmasist for the generics.

btw what kinda dose is SWIY suposed to take? and SWIY sometimes takes up to 3X the dose?

Re: Adderall to good..

Yup, thats the same mentality he has. Oh he can binge since he just got it and its been awhile. But then it turns into an all out binge because he doesn't usually get them until around 4 PM after school.. so noooo sleep.

Coming down is the worst part. It makes him get depressed and extremely anxious. He is on generic XR at the moment. The non generic is ridiculously expensive.

He is prescribed 15 mg's XR every morning. He takes between 45 to 90 mg's at a time. When he gets his prescription, its been awhile, so he can get away with taking 45. He usually ends up taking another one about 2 hours after.

He also had a question about the benzedrex. He read that it causes pupil dilation. Does this happen often, or is just "possible"? He likes to keep his drug use on the DL as possible.

BillPartho, he see's where you are coming from. Its not the "end all, be all" but it helps.
