Question non drug addictions - are they the same?

Swim would like to pose a question
swim hears all the time that people can become addicted to crime etc...?

The criminal gets a buzz from breaking the law and the subsequent adrenalin rush.

Are non drug addictive behaviour similiar to that of drug addictive behaviour - does the reward come from the same neurological pathways so to speak and if so can non drug addictions be just as debilitating?
