First Experience
Hey, SWIMs had his first salvia experience about 4 hours ago. It wasn't what SWIM thought it would be, SWIM rolled a very small spliff with bacci and some salvia in it. SWIM got abit relaxed, very horny (
) but after the effects wore off SWIM had a headache.SWIM used 20x and has some 60x as well but is abit skeptical about using the 60x. |

SWIM has heard that it is good to start off low on Salvia, because the effects can get rather intense at higher extract levels.
She imagines that smoking salvia as a cigarrette may be a somewhat mellower way of enjoying the plant, but to get the full effects SWIY might want to try it with a water pipe (bong) and a butane torch lighter. The substance in Salvia needs higher tempuratures to burn. If the extract is of good quality, SWIY would only need to take a couple of hits to enjoy its intense trippy effects. SWIM guesses although the trip itself is quite different comparatively, she thinks that it is a lot similar to a "Whippet" or Nitrous Oxide typically inhaled through a whipped cream can or balloon. Or at the dentist, lol, though not as good. Depending on the brand and grade, Salvia can be weaker or stronger than it claims to be. (SWIM has had really good 25x, and 40x that was weaker than it, and of a different brand). SWIM says have overall fun and be safe!

Yes like ak mentioned, smoking salvia in a joint really is a bad way to achieve the maximum affects. Salvinorin A, the main active ingredient in Salvia, requires a higher tempature to vaporize than say marijuana or something of that nature. When smoking, its best to use a bong, pipe, steamroller or something similar, and draw the flame to the Salvia the entire time you are inhaling. There is some debate as what is better as far as a bong or a regular "bowl" and as to the lighter, ie regular bic or butane torch style, but Swim has had no problems using a glass bowl and bic.
If you are a new swimmer, I would strongly suggest start with regular leaf, or if you think you are prepared, a small extract such as a 5x or 10x. Personally, I would say give leaf a chance . A few things to remember when you are new to Salvia:1. Reverse tolerance. The more times you use Salvia, you may find that, like many people, you need less each time to get the same affects. 2. Do plenty of research and find a method that works for you. Like I mentioned above, you want to draw the flame directly onto the Salvia and keep it there til you are done inhaling. Then hold it in as long as you can. 20-30 seconds is widely reccommended. 3. Remember, Salvia is an extremely potent phsycoactive drug and the affects can be terryifing. Don't rush a Salvia experience but rather wait for an opportunity to present itself. Mood, state of mind, and setting can all play major roles in your experience. Treat Sally with respect and she can do the same for you. Swim tried to rush the Salvia experience and had a very frightening ride! Above all, do a lot of research and know all you can about this powerful drug before you jump in! A lot of people try it "on a whim" and it is so frightening they never touch the stuff again. So be patient, be informed, BE SAFE, and enjoy what Lady Salvia has to offer! |
