I'm curious how our European members, particularly
in the Netherelands, feel about a European Union
under a one constitution.

Who are the major proponents (individials and
countries) behind this movement?

How will this "union" function in terms of heirarchy?

How do people in YOUR country feel about it in
general?

...and how would such a "union" affect the drug laws
in your country?

The current project for an European Constitution istn't a Constitution as you may think.

There is no word in this text about individual rights protection for example, but guess what : this project is a good deal for corporations...........

There is no distinction in the Constitution between the differents political powers : executive, legislative and judicial, and this makes that the same guys can potentially write the laws and apply them. This distinction is one of the most fundamental concept in democracy !!

A constitution must make possible to apply a policy, for example an economical policy. But the project don't make it possible, 'cause it's already an economical policy and a ultra-liberal one....

trust me, its a rotten deal, it will only serve to bring on the new world order

Sick Jack has a point. The European Constitution that has just been rejected isn't really a constitution. In scope, it's not muchdifferent from the previous EU treaties (Nice, Amsterdam, Maastricht etc.).


The EU does affect the drug laws of member states, though the extent of this would not be changed by the constitution. The EU stance on drugs isn't particularly restrictive, though it did order member states to ban 2C-I, 2C-T-2, 2C-T-7 and TMA-2.

I can't imagine it would be good for Netherland's
drug policy.

If EU is to become anything like the UN, it's going to
be full of corruption.

Many proponents of the EU are saying it will act as a counterbalance to
US unilateralism, but it will simply emulate the US's
fascist/communist/corporate monopoly federal goverment, which is
gradually assuming power over the states and gradually eroding the Bill
of Rights. The idea of seperate states is that power is decentralised
and each state is sovereign so that one 'rotten apple' will not affect
ther others. Centralising decision-making will simply put all power in
the hands of the few and so make abuse of power much easier.



There is no other way the EU will go if it is allowed to continue but
towards Hitler's dream of a centralised Fortress Europe, with the
borders probably spreading eastwards into the middle east and Russia to
create Orwell's Eurasian superstate. Meanwhile the FTAA is attempting
to create an Oceania-like superstate in the Americas, although a long
way off. These superstates along with China and its satellites will
makeup the three blocs which they will play off eachother so they can
finally bring in their new world order global fascist state.



The malevolent powers that be cannot relate to anything or anyone they
cannot possess or control and so want to standardise, rationalise,
predict and control all space and time. Centralisation is required to
do this, which they like to spin as being in the name of efficiency,
cooperation and security. Drugs laws will simply get more restrictive,
as will all other laws. The European Convention on Human Rights says
that rights are guaranteed except those which break the law. At least
the US has widespread gun ownership and a Bill of Rights to protect
itself; Europe doesn't so the EU must be resisted before it is too
late. Here in the UK there is strong scepticism of the EU fortunately,
and hopefully this scepticism is building in mainland Europe. <!--
