Re: Famous Cocaine Users?

I see Robbie Williams is in a mess at the moment and has had to go into rehab. Is it true once he offered his mum a couple of lines but she declined? How many can say they've offered their parents some lines to do!

Re: Famous Cocaine Users?

That makes me think of David Bowie, who wrote his album Low whilst coming off cocaine. His depression inspired songs like "Always Crashing in the Same Car." I don't know if he ever offered his mum and dad any lines!

Re: Famous Cocaine Users Megathread

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already, but Dr. Funkenstien AKA George Clinton was a big coke user. Below is a mugsgot of him shortly after police busted him with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia:

Re: Famous Cocaine Users Megathread

Swim is too lazy to look through 4 pages.
Stevie Nicks, notorious back in the day.
Lindsay Lohan
Kate Moss
Janice Dickinson (model)
Mary Kate and Ashley?
Keith Richards but he could be in the notorious for any substance category.
Kirstie Alley.
Please don't yell at Swim if all these have been mentioned. Patience with the newbie please.

Re: Famous Cocaine Users Megathread

Just read an article about The Eagles in the 70s and 80s who were pretty well off their faces a lot of the time. Francis Rossi from Status Quo can do the trick of pulling a piece of string though his nostrils from using too much of you know what!

Re: Famous Cocaine Users Megathread

Stu Ungar, poker player, was a heavy coke user. From the back cover of One of a Kind:
Quote:
Though he had won an estimated $30 million in his lifetime, Stuey had no bank account, not even a home address. He was found dead in a Vegas hotel--with $800 cash on his person, the only money he had left--at the age of 45.
Most of that money was probably lost due to gambling, but he was a serious coke user. He turned to smoking after one of his nostrils collapsed after years of snorting: you can see it in pictures of him in his later years; pretty nasty looking.

Re: Famous Cocaine Users Megathread

Carrying on with rock stars how about John Entwhistle who was bass player with The Who? He died from cocaine-induced heart attack in a Las Vegas hotel room whilst with a stripper he met out there. Now if that isn't a rock star death I don't what isn't

Re: Famous Cocaine Users Megathread

SWIM used to have an acid/mushrooms dealer- an immensely fat black man whose name was 'Busdriver'. Every time SWIM went over to pick something up from Busdriver, he'd ramble on about how he used to deal cocaine to Mr. T. Sorry if all you SWIYs out there are looking for actual facts, as I'd take most things that come from a guy called Busdriver with a grain of salt.

Re: Famous Cocaine Users List

This is one I'd never suspect: Robin Guthrie, from the Cocteau Twins, admits to being high on coke through most of their records. Says he's been clean for a while now though.

If you asked me to link his peaceful, harmonious, ethereal, made-for-nodding guitar work to a drug, it sure as heck wouldn't be coke (or anything close). But I'm glad it worked so well.
