Question First Time LSD, Little Effect: Because of opiates??
Hello,

It was Swim's first time with acid the other day, and he had poor results ; Swim feels it was because from Swim taking opiates a few days before. Does that have any bearing effect? Swim's friend said yes, but I need more responses.

If the opiate Swiy is referring to is Tramadol then that could diminish many of the effects and can also be dangerous. Swim does not think any of the other opiates would have a great impact, especially if taken a few days before. How many hits did Swiy take? Why was the trip not so great?

The opiate Swim took was Morphine SO4. Swim took 2 hits, and the reason it was not so great was because Swim's thought process wasn't exactly "in the mood", therefore not even mental changes were shown. Plus, Swim thought it would have the visualization effects as well, but knows that it isn't always during every trip.

Set, setting, mood, etc. can all play factors in the trip. Swim would say that the acid was probably the biggest factor though. He thinks that the hits were just not very potent ones. It is hard to say, but that is his best guess. Does Swiy have any more to experiment with?

Swim does have a way to get more, and Swim also thinks they were indeed weak potency. Swim's friends had great effects, but they too think it was the Morphine. We'll see on the next time around.

Glad I could help! Let us know how the next one turns out. Hopefully it will be better. Wait at least a week between trips though. Also if Swiy can take just 2 hits again, a comparative analysis can be done to see if the morphine did indeed play a factor in him not having a great trip. That is if the LSD is from the exact same batch.

how long was the last opiate dose before the lsd? Swim would imagine that opiates would diminish some of the visuals. But what made the experience bad? It could have just been poor quality of lsd, or not even legit acid. If it was a bad trip, well, that's completely swim's own fault, and can't blame anything else that happend prior to the trip. and if it went bad while trippin, well, obviously something triggered it to go that way

Some people have reported that opiates can actually kill an lsd trip. I can't see how this could happen, for I'd imagine the body high would be there from both drugs, but acid's more of an upper kind of hallucenogen.

Poor storage coulda made the acid bunk. If swiy's friend properly kept it in a freezer and out of light, and swiy kept it in a drawer or something, well theres the problem!

swiy could have expected too much too.

SWIM's first acid trip was the best he ever had and could never be recreated,
After that had numerous good/interesting/weird trips and eventually the bad which ended It all.

Perhaps try another blotter/sugarcube/whatever when you're In a good mindset. (Not saying you weren't, But it definately helps!)
