Extraction - Alcohol extraction V's A/B extraction?

Hi SWIM is a bit of a Mescalin Noob. He has read around extensively and is torn between the merits of an alcohol extraction V's an A/B extraction. He also has some questions.

Firstly in terms of an alcohol extraction, obtaining 99.9% + isopropyl alcohol is not a problem where he lives. Would this increase the purity and yield over using less pure alcohol?

Second obtaining fresh San Pedro cuttings in his country (the UK) is difficult, so he has opted to grow some from seed in his greenhouse. (Swim is patient and prepared to wait however long it takes for is plants to grow, he has ordered plenty of seeds in anticipation of a respectable yield). Can anyone offer any good planting/growing advice and/or perhaps a reliable on-line guide?

Additionally he has looked at an A/B extraction - which seems fairly easy. He can obtain Xylene without issues. However he is confused by which choice of Hydrochloric acid he should go with. He has see a number of suppliers marketing 36% HCL as a 'brick cleaner'. Would this suffice?

What are the advantages of doing an A/B extraction over an alcohol extraction and what's the best most generally popular tek for doing so?

But the guy who did this ended up with a very brown looking product that didn't look that much different from some of the alcohol extraction teks I have seen. Is this normal. Is this the best way?
