Advice on dealing with the body load of LSD?

The flamingo was asked this in another thread, but think it sits better in a new one

While LSD is generally regarded as having less of a body load than other psychedelics, for some (the flamingo included) there is still sometimes a significant stimulation/bodily tension that can become uncomfortable at times

So how does she deal with it?

The first thing is to recognise the tension/discomfort as being due to the drug that has been taken (which is sometimes easier said than done, LOL!)

The second thing is acting to change the direction, before a little discomfort becomes something more.

For the flamingo, physical activity seems to be the answer: Generally she dances like a loon, howls at the moon, and sees how it goes! But the activity has to be fairly non-specific

Through experimentation, she has found that if a particular area (like her neck) is stiff or sore, then focusing on that area (for example, stretching or massaging) can sometimes focus the discomfort and lead to loops. Not what's needed

If dancing doesn't do the trick, then she employs other simple meaures:

Change the setting:

There's a point in most trips (usually around T8ish), where being indoors simply isn't an option, being in the cool, quiet night and looking up at the stars can be immensely centering, and usually any tension just melts away

Change the music (although don't become fixated on finding something that's "perfect", just something slightly less hectic)

Retreat for a little "flamingo time" (tell any companions that this is the plan, so they don't start fretting or getting worried)

Use scent to change the direction of things: The flamingo has traditionally found Chanel No 5 works a treat

Use texture to distract. Many times the flamingo has gotten lost in a particularly gorgeous and much loved velvet/embroidered eiderdown

If headache is the primary problem, rather than other muscular aches/pains, then the flamingo always takes a couple of paracetamol, to nip things in the bud

Do any other birds have any tips/tricks for dealing with this sort of thing?
