SWIM was out partying one night and nothing was unusual about it... He
snorted about 1/4 of an 8ball, maybe just a touch more (whatever that
measures... i think about a gram...) over a period of about 8 hours.
This is more than his average dose, but definatly nowhere near what he
would consider a huge dose because he has been known to have more than
that on a rare occasion.

But several strange things happened that he has never experienced
before... When he got home, he hopped on the computer and looked around
on this forum for a little bit... The strange bit here is the fact that
he started writting a post and didnt stop for about 10 HOURS! (1
post... which he didnt even end up posting). He remembers starting at
around 12pm, and he doesnt remember doing anything else till 10pm when
he went to work, and he's 95% sure he didnt pass out, but he thinks he
may have been in some sort of "trance" state. The reason it took him so
long is the fact that after about 4 hours of writting, this post was so
huge he decided to cut it down... the cutting down part took about 6
hours. After 4 hours of writting and 6 hours of cutting, it eventually
didnt make a whole lot of sense, so he saved it on his computer for
later viewing.

After peeling his eyes away from the monitor, he found that everything
he looked at seemed to be tinged in yellow and his vision was generally
pretty screwed up. He got through work without incident, but the whole
night was really crap due to his vision being screwy. To make matters
worse, his appatite returned after about 30 hours straight without a
decent meal, he hadn't been drinking any water all day and his jaw and
tongue were so sore he wanted to cut them off, making it hard for him
to eat.

But the strangest thing happened after work when he tried to get some
sleep (had been awake 32 hours, his last line of speed was taken about
10 hours before). He had his eyes closed anywhere between 30 seconds to
20 mins (no idea) and when he gave up and decided to get a drink... he
opened his eyes... and the whole room burst into a hundred different
full-strength hallucinations!

He had martial-arts posters on the wall and martial-arts trophies on
his shelf, all of which were moving around and fighting each other (yet
staying in place... not running around the room). His wardrobe was open
and inside he saw a guy crawling out of it, his shirts dancing, etc...
there were spiderwebs all over the walls, inside his mirror there was a
puppet on strings beating the crap out of a small toy (even though he
doesnt own any puppets or toys) and lots and lots of other things were
all happening at once, giving the whole room a life of its own when
NOTHING in the room could actually move!

Needless to say, SWIM was in a state of absolute horror at seeing
this... He was paralised with fear for a few seconds and just sat there
gripping his bedsheets, afraid to move, before he realised what was
happening, at which time he turned on his bedside lamp and everything
went to normal.

After this he figured things out a little and experimented a bit... he
found that by turning off the lights and closing his eyes for a short
time he could bring on some minor hallucinations but not the full
effect he had the first time. (the posters and trophy's would move, and
the puppet returned as a faded image in the mirror. but thats about it)

With this experimentation he discovered that the hallucinations would
only come in the dark and it would take a short time of focusing on
something before it would move again, but with a bit of concentration
he had fun trying to make things happen the way he wanted. (poorly seen
objects, half-hidden in shadows yielded the best results)

A few questions:

Are hallucinations of this magnitude a normal occurance when using
speed? (nothing else was taken... except maybe 5 alcoholic drinks) SWIM
has had about 1 year of experience with it, but this never happened
before.

Should he be worried about the 'trance' state during the 10 hour writting session?

Has anyone else had any experiences like this?

arent hallucinations from speed caused when you binge on it for days
and the hallucinate because of lack of sleep? or maybe it was cut with
something weird. i dont know too much about speed but that sounds
fuckin weird.

this reaction is odd. Lost of things could explain it. The speed may have ben cut with something odd. Most lilkely you just had too much speed and maybe from being up a while and maybe you were just sensistive to it that night.

ALso if you use speed too often it may throw your brain chemisrty off enough to induce some strange psychoogical phenominon. I wouldn't do speed mor than twice a month at most, and even then you should not be staying up for more than 1 day.
