Valerian, SWIM recommends it.

SWIM took 6500 mg of powder(Along with some milk thistle to reduce oxidation damage) and felt a great sense of calm and apathy, and his body felt mildly drunk and relaxed. The dreams he had were incredible, when SWIM woke up, he couldn't believe they weren't real. No hangover whatsoever. SWIM was refreshed in the morning. SWIM did not feel tired until it was his usual time to feel tired, and SWIM cannot see how this is a popular sleep aid.

SWIM recommends Valerian because there were no bad side effects and it was a good high, SWIM also had great dreams and was refreshed in the morning. SWIM submitted a report a lot longer than this summary to erowid, but pending will take a long time.

Re: Valerian, SWIM recommends it.

Hello,

SWIM finds this to be a good report, as she has been interested in Valerian for some time. She bought Valerian Tea before, and although it smelled quite like dirty socks, it tasted quite pleasant and made for a relaxing experience. SWIM was not necessarily high or buzzed, but was felt quite calm.

Did you consume the powdered root it a tea? SWIM imagines hot water/tea extraction would be the best method of consumption. ^_^

Re: Valerian, SWIM recommends it.

SWIM capsuled the powder. There are psychoactive oils in Valerian, so hot water would evaporate the oils, which is not desired.

Also, SWIM likes the smell of Valerian, smells kind of like...dirty socks. lol

Re: Valerian, SWIM recommends it.

Swim loves valerian root. Swim usually makes a tea with that and damiana. Swim never noticed a difference with encapsulating the powdered root or making tea tho. Both way seemed to make swim relaxed and go to sleep. (this stuff works a million times better than melatonin.)

Re: Valerian, SWIM recommends it.

Mild psychedelic effects are noticed after 5000mg of capsuled valerian root. Lights have circles surrounding them. SWIM's desktop is plain black, SWIM's cursor has an aura surrounding it, which isn't normal. Trails are also left by the cursor that are obviously not caused by the computer. Wow, playing with those trails is fun. It only works if SWIM's looking at my cursor, fun shit. This is definitely not the computer, and MS paint is really fun right now.
