Hello,

Are the swimmers able to take vacations far away from their stomping grounds without fear of what will happen when the supply runs low or out?

Does anyone have any experiences / tips on how to make the trip more bearable if one must take a journey out of their normal routine?

Pacman is on methadone but tends to stick to that. Depending on where SWIY are going if SWIY not on meth take some H with SWIY and try make it last. Don't tr to get wrecked on it though cos SWIY will use far too much of it

for nation plane flights, it wouldn't be tough to simply stash a bit under the foot in the sock, or jock it. But don't be bringin oz's on the plane!!

If you're going to a major city, finding heroin users is never much of a problem. Homeless people or prostitutes can always get you whatever you want. It costs, of course; for homeless people usually just a bag. Buy small at first too, although that should go without saying.

Swim has never encountered any real problems purchasing heroin on almost all of his holidays but swim would advise swiy to do some research about the potency/purity of heroin in his final destination and prevent a potential overdose situation and also be aware of local laws and customs as in some countries they can be very harsh

Not a good idea to try to score when on holiday, depending on the location, swiy could end up in big trouble.
When Sparkles has traveled abroad (when she was using) she usually got some opiate pills to take with her, she carried them as hand luggage. If swiy has a legitimate pain (or a sympathetic doctor) perhaps they can write a letter for swiy explaining about an existing medical condition that would enable swiy to get emergency meds from a doctor in the country they're visiting.
When Sparkles was in Chicago (after 9/11) she had to see a doctor to get pain pills as she was stranded there for an extra three weeks.
She was glad she had a letter from her GP.

SWIM has been on holiday abroad a few times since she first got a habit. Luckily SWIM has been on a script most of this time, and her doctor has happily prescribed her physeptone (methadone) tablets to go away with.

However, methadone isn't legal in all countries, so before doing so, SWIM's doc told her to phone up and check with the embassy of the country she was going to, in SWIM's case, Egypt. Methadone is either completely legal (with prescription), or it needs a certificate to be carried with, in which case one must give their doc a good two or three weeks' notice to apply for the relevant paperwork. Or it's illegal in the country you wish to visit. In which case (if you wish) you may be able to get your doc to prescribe you DF118s or something similar, but I would only advise this for people who have very small (non-IV) habits, as others won't be kept well enough by them.

Don't let having a habit stop you going away and seeing the world - it's still possible to do, and safely.
