Risperidone and 2c-c HPPD
Hey all,
SWIM would like to tell you about his experience with Risperidone and his case of HPPD. About 3 months ago, SWIM's friend snorted an enormous (150mg) amount of 2c-c while SWIM snorted about 80mg**. SWIM's friend experienced the disassociative effect associated with such a high dose, while SWIM's trip was all about trying to bring SWIM's friend down. SWIM's friend had psychedelic effects for about 1 week afterwards (trips would randomly come on during the day), while SWIM felt relatively normal the next day.
However, SWIM and his friend both noticed that at nighttime, vision would become enhanced, colors and objects would be very vivid and bright. Walking through a downtown city with all of its neon and colorful lights would be overwhelming. Swaying trees, such as the ones seen the night of the trip would also "trigger" SWIM and his friend back into trip mode. This occured for weeks, even months after. SWIM believes that the effect is neutral/positive, as colors and lights are more pronounced and vivid making nature and the outdoors more aesthetically enjoyable.
About 3 weeks ago, SWIM had a brief psychotic episode and was immediately put on 4mg of Risperidone. About a week later, SWIM discovered that when he went outside, everything seemed to be back to normal. Colors, lights, and nature was back to the way it was before the 2c-c trip. SWIM passed along some of the Risperidone to his friend, who took 2mg for 4 days. He too has noticed that a lot, but not all of his 2c-c residuals have diminished significantly since then. Finally, he took it again for 5 more days and he returned to normal.
SWIM read that Risperidone has the ability to stop an LSD trip, and probably other psychedelic trips as well. Does anyone have some insight as to why the Risperidone would get rid of the HPPD? Did 2c-c do some rewiring in SWIM's brain, that Risperidone undid? SWIM is not too educated on NMDA receptors and all that jazz, and would be open to anyone elses hypothesis or stories.
(**Mega dose, do not recommend taking this much orally let alone insufflated.)
