Salvia Divinorum Liquid Tinctures
Hello SWIYs out there,
On SWIM's recent endeavor to research and order some ethnobotanicals, she came across Saliva Liquid Tinctures on a few websites. She read a lot of user experiences regarding it, and it seemed that the general consensus was that it would create a more subtle mellower albeit longer lasting Salvia experience than smoking the dried substance. SWIM also read that it was quite terrible tasting and expensive, and the only way to get the full effects was to hold it in one's mouth for a few minutes before swallowing. Others had said that swallowing it generally just led to a stomach ache, and only from absorbing the substance in the mouth were any really good effects gained.
The best advice SWIM had read was from one user who heated some hot water and mixed it with honey, then put a dropper of the Salvia in a teaspoon along with a dropper of the water/honey mixture, before putting it in their mouth to hold it for about 4 minutes. After the 4 minute mark, the user said that they swallowed it, and prepared another dose. Around the third dose, the user noted that the effects were mellow, but still very noticeable.
SWIM has never tried the liquid tincture, and wonders if any other SWIYs out there have. SWIM isn't so sure about it considering she read it not only tastes awful but burns, especially when trying to hold it in one's mouth for an extended period of time. And on top of that, is expensive, at least more so than other good ethnobotanicals.
Have any SWIYs out there tried it or have had read anything interesting about Salvia in liquid form? SWIM is curious to know!
