Opiates on the teenage brain
swim remembers week long opium binges and oxycodone marathons at the age of 17, most of swim's opiate using friends also started using in high school. swim doesn't believe using heroin or other opiates reduces intellect (though malnutrition and a more toxic diet from liver failure might). but did swiy use opiates before 18 and do you agree painkillers have a negative effect on organic brain development? is there really a difference between using at 17 and using at 25? swim believes burroughs didn't play with h till he was in his 30s
