Smoking - opium in a oil-burning pipe

SWIM has access to much black tar opium(not heroin). when he smokes it out of his glass oil-burner/meth pipe it seems to work but he must torch the bulb for it to burn, which makes the pipe crack/break faster.

just wondering if that sounds rite to you guys. he goes through bulbs pretty often. sux.

The hell is SWIyou torching it for? Opium doesnt need to be superheated or anything. Thats why back in the day they used simple lamps that channeled the flame to the bowl.

If SWIyou are using anything with a yellow flame (zippo, candle, or what have you) and are still getting cracked glass then thats just weird.

Anyway... A far more pressing concern is this black tar opium. As far as SWIM has searched high and low there is only OPIUM. Not black tar, or red rock, or purple goblin or whatever. Opium is a plant matter as has certain traits, none of which are blackish or tarish unless already smoked one would imagine. SWIyou has heroin or some heavly adulted opium. Course SWIM might be totally wrong, but he has never heard otherwise...

And theres always foil.

SWIYou needs to use a low-heat source like a candle or light and lightly heat it. That should work better. Torching??? Not the best idea.
