Claude Rifat was born the 1th march of 1952 in Cairo, and died during the night of 31st July in Tokyo.
He had the french-swiss nationality.

Biologist, researcher, writer, political activist and a famous psychonaut.

The first export of plant and seed of Mitragyna speciosa outside the Thailand is attributed to him. These samples are the great majority kratom's source of plantations available outside the Thailand.

He entered in the University of Geneva to pursue studies of Biology but he refused to present himself at the examinations of the other necessary disciplines, in particular physics and chemistry, what excluded him from the university. He made some works for the Botanical garden or for the Natural History Museum of Geneva (assistant, classification) and also teaching before leaving for Tahiti, then he spent a lot of time in Thailand before settling down in Japan.

Besides numerous articles published by Rifat, Claude participated in the drafting of books, in particular with the French writer Charles-Xavier Durand in The new war against the intelligence. ( Never traduct )
