one of swims old time favorits is "the mystery of the thirteen crystal skulls part 1"

psytrance V.A. album

this one was played twice at an acid binch at home with a few of swim's friends... this album always took the vibe from general trippyness to deep mystical experiences

I've been a big psytrance fan since I was 16 years old, and so has SWIM, but that's another thing he's never listened to in a tripping situation. SWIM has often said that he never would've had an interest in things like LSD if he had never found Goa/Psytrance, but he has yet to devote an entire trip to just his own musical interests.

SWIM is always careful about his musical choices, because he's never tripped alone. Once SWIM wanted to listen to Go Plastic by Squarepusher, and a few of his fellow trippers got a little weirded out. He wishes he could've gotten further into his experiment...=(

Anywho... Swim's favorite music to listen to while tripping is without a doubt, The Grateful Dead. Swim will usually gather up a few good shows before he doses. Swim likes Phish, but finds a lot of there tunes to be to hectic to be enjoyed during an intense trip... Swim enjoys many other Jam Bands as well... Ekoostik Hookah, Phil and Friends, U-Melt, Umphrey's McGee, String Cheese, Béla Fleck...

Medeski, Martin & Wood are amazing... They're a Jazz/Funk/Jam Band...

Explosions in the sky are good... Swim would recommend Tortoise to anyone who likes them... They are AMAZING.

Swim enjoys some Ambient or some IDM while tripping as well.

"Idioteque" by Radiohead absolutely blows Swims mind while tripping. Some other songs on Kid A are enjoyable as well...

Of course Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Camel, and some other Prog/Art rock....

Ozric Tentacles...

A lot of Jazz...

Bob Dylan is a favorite...

and many, many more...

Scratch that... SWIM was thinking you said Ozrics for some reason... Perpetual Groove is good though.... Swim enjoys there live stuff...

also.... SWIM can't believe nobody mentioned The Allman Brothers!..

While not really a very psychedelic band... some of their songs give SWIM the best feeling while on a good dose of some LSD or 'Shooms...

SWIM recommends dosing up and listening to "Blue Sky"...

When the chorus comes in, it gives SWIM chills everytime.

Definately some happy, positive feeling music to trip to, or just to sit back and relax with.

king crimson(duh) - can be a bit scary, especially the THRaKaTTaK album, but more fun than scary

swim likes house/rave/trance, but only when candyflipping.

"All Around You" by the Brian Jonestown Massacre is pure bliss--so suitable for the beginning of a trip.

But above all, classical music is the best. Its ineffable like an acid trip.

I find that Servo by the Brian Jonestown Massacre puts me in a great mood whilst tripping. Its a great tune.
