Overdose - swim's first overdose...

last night around midnight swim took 2 mg of valium because he had no time to prepare poppy pod tea at that time. swim fell asleep at 2 and woke up at 6 to open his fairly unremarkable box of giant arizona's and grinded up 4, brewed some tea, and was intoxicated by 8:30. swim knew of the permanent repurcussions of a fairly intolerant person doing an opiate/benzo combo (swim hasn't had painkillers in 8 days) and drank half the tea.

swim was fun until 6 that night when he finished the rest and when it kicked in around an hour later swim realized he was to get extremely shallow breathing and when he started to nod (no more than a few seconds at first) he forced himself to stay awake watching documentaries on youtube etc. swim had to start breathing manually as his lungs felt like they dissapeared (the same feeling as a dmt trip) and he kept it up for 3 hours untl the nodding passed.

right now swim's pupils have the mass of pitchblack deer ticks, his mouth like cactus soil, and his legs were really shaky earlier. as long as swim didn't nod for more than a couple of seconds he's fine right? should swim sleep tonite?

SWIY will be fine. If something were to happen it already would have. SWIY should also be straight to fall asleep.. If it were an overdose to worry about SWIY would be getting violently sick and the like.

so swiy doesn't think swim lost any brain cells? swim loves nodding but managed to keep the power napping to no more than a few seconds every 10 minutes

SWIYou may have just had a bad reaction between valium and tea. No OD as far as swim can see. Be Careful!

swim weighs 125 lbs and still feels weird after last night. his eyes are still very intense and his breathing feels too relaxed. is swiy sure swim was good to sleep last night? he went to bed 8 hours after drinking his second glass

In swims opinion he thinks that swiy will be alright.. Swim himself feels "fucked" the day after poppy's (specially in combination with diazepam and or alcohol)

The amount swiy has taken isn't that big and the time past counts for a lot ! In an overdose swiy would have felt sick long before now.

But shallow breathing is a sign of an overdose so if in doubt go to the hospital, but swim thinks swiy is alright... Maybe overdone it a bit...

Not sure, swim has noticed his breading going slow when he had poppy's/methadone/heroine/dihydrocodeine, etc.. with diazepam and or alchohol... (not an advisable combination !)

But yes he thinks your friend overdone it.. But still will be alright. Learn of it.... (or at least try)

Swim doesn't know what swiy was breathing like last night...how could anyone. The fact that swim was scared of the consequences means he should be a little more careful in future. If swiy feels their breathing is at any time compromised getting medical attention might be the best option.Swiy has been given some excellent advice on harm reduction in this thread, swim thinks swiy should take it.

What SWIY described sounds common for an opiate high (especially poppys). Nodding & mild respiratory depression (shallow breathing) are common symptoms of opiate intoxication.

One thing though, NEVER dose by the number of pods; invest in a scale and weigh out SWIYs dose in grams. 2 people have gained publicity in their deaths from poppy pods 1 more isnt going to do any good for their legal status as an "ornamental peice".

If SWIY overdosed they would have been probably profusely sweating, having severe nausea and vomiting and extreme respiratory depression

I dont know if this is SWIYs first poppy experience but the valium (a depressant) may have had something to do with what SWIY thought was unusual respiratory depression. Combining opiates with other depressants can be dangerous, although 2mg of diazepam is a minute dose.
