Ketamine - Two drugs in one?
It seems to this crazy pot head that ketamine is used in two very different ways by different people. It exhibits downer-like effects in small doses, making people feel 'drunk'. But it is a dissociative in high doses, causing a loss of distinction between imagination and reality and a 'trip' like no other.
Some people opt for the former, having one or two bumps at a party to evoke the same feeling as a few shots of liquor. It's cheaper than alcohol, and kicks in faster, so they use it as an alternative. Other people collect in small groups each with a vial out on the table, taking bump after bump and pushing themselves to new galaxies, to return again and discuss the experience. With such a dichotomy between users and uses, ketamine is a very interesting drug. |

Re: Ketamine - Two drugs in one?
SWIM has also pondered deeply about the hugee difference between lose dose and high dose effects of Ketamine.
It's great that a drug can be so versatile, but it's sad that not many of SWIM's friends can appreciate or understand this. Most people have only heard rumours about Ketamine being a horse tranquiliser, so they instantly shun it as some type of junkie/inferior substance. The vast majority of SWIM's friends also do not understand that it can be used at doses below K-Hole, and see Ketamine as only as substance to put you to sleep/immobilise you. One of SWIM friends (more experienced with drugs) has been in a number of K-Holes and enjoys it very much. Up until recently he wasn't aware of the effects of low dose Ketamine, and was pleasantly surprised when SWIM introduced it to him in combination with MDMA. For SWIM, he finds low doses of Ketamine so much different than alcohol. Although Ketaminedoes give SWIM some loss of motor control, it also gives him mild disscosciation (very nice for SWIM), euphoria and mild visuals, all of which are not present with Alcohol. SWIM also notices very little side effects to Ketamine and minimal hangover. Ketamine also gives SWIM more of a sense of fulfillment, whereas alcohol makes him feel uncomplete and needing "something else". SWIM is very glad that he has recently stumbled on a very good priced supply of Ketamine, and hopes to spread the magic amongst his friends in the not too distant future!
