Talking Where did SWIM's Non-REM Sleep Go ? Please Give it Back

SWIM was dx with Adult ADHD (Primarily Inattentive) when SWIM was 24. SWIM was DX by a psychiatrist who prescribed dextroamphetamine. SWIM has been relatively functional and in good spirits at 15 mg/TID (spansules) and 5 mg PRN/TID for several years (except when SWIM got knocked up and SWIM did not take dex when SWIM was gestating).

Anyways... SWIM is now 32 and has become concerned regarding long term effects on SWIM's heart, neuropathy, and other shite. Due to repeated episodes of manufacturer's inability to generate a stable supply of spansules, SWIM has bit the bullet and decided to try getting off the spansules. SWIM has stopped the spansules cold. SWIM likens the experience to quitting smoking with one exception ...

SWIM has been dreaming like one crazy mofo. Like the dex slows SWIM'S brain down so SWIM isn't all spinny and twitchy. When SWIm dramatically reduced SWIM's dose, SWIMS brain has kicked into high gear and seems to be stuck in REM cycle after cycle.

Anyone else experience crazy dreams when coming off stimulants ? Any advice ?

TIA.
