first if drugs are good or bad for you the government doesnt give a f##K. Who pays for the drugs? we do. Who pays for the DEA? we do. they are the ones who actually put the drugs in the country and then make drugs illegal. why? because of the money.
Easy if drugs were legal who would pay 100dls for 1/8 of crystal or 20dls for weed. nobody because you could make your own or grow your own.the government doesnt care if we get high or not he just wants the bigger profit. the war on drugs is just a big fake. the government wants to put some preasure to rise up drug prices. think about it. i know there is already a topic on this but when i heard this i thought it was interesting.

Yep, why would the D.E.A. want to eliminate drugs? By having drugs in the country, they are ensuring paychecks to come.

If drugs were legalized and regulated who do you think would be doing
the regulation? I bet a few of them DEA boyz wouldn't mind
trading their guns in for pens. They think their budget is big
now, imagine regulating a multi-billion dollar industry.

haha...

Drugs represent a very good form of social control - and one that
governments are surely grateful for . . . just imagine - if they
stopped everyone taking drugs, all those people might actually start
doing stuff - the sorta stuff that inhibits the powers that be
from staying in charge & ripping everybody off. . .

Drugs keep people nice and quiet on a political level, keeps the poor
people poor, stops any real motivation for social change - if
unemployment goes up in an area - just flood it with heroin &
crack, and everyone'll stay out of the way.

Given all the billions of dollars invested in the global drugs markets
- it's very unrealistic to think that such a massive industry can exist
totally under the radar of governments & security services. They
let it happen because it's advantagous to them. Probably make a few
quid off it, too. . .

I disagree on only one point, I know plenty of people that only indulge
in legal drugs or don't use at all yet they do SHIT politically. Face
it once most of us with half a brain realize we're going to get shit
done unless we have million to buy people we give up on that grassroots
hippy shit and just try to effect change through our own life or
clandestinely.

People don't see it or don't care, people don't realize the ulterior
motives to the "war on terror" and they are even more glaring, what
makes you think they'd notice it in the "war on drugs".

Both wars are never meant to be won and are by their nature unwinnable, theres no money in winning.

The drug war is all about money, power and class warfare. It won't be changing any time soon.

the drug war wsa started by the US treasury department because they didn't initially have any more problem with drugs than they did alcohol, they just were mad because minority races (japanese, mexicans, blacks) were controling the drug trade and they (gov.) was figuring they were going to get screwed by these other groups and not geet their share of the profits. Hence why we started a drug war. It was in fact started by the treasury dept. no the health dept or defense dept. Probably if they legalized drugs and taxed it properly all kids culd go to college for nothing. People would actually get along instead of trying to get ahead of Next Joe over there. And how about the violence involved in drug trafficing. It's all about the big pharma making sure that the average person is going to have to rely on the American Med. Ass. (practitioners) and legal ineffective drugs that they make. Who do you think fuels the campaigns of these narrow morons in office.

Police rely on criminals in order to fund their careers. But in every profession there is a setup that demands certain actions to be taken inorder to react to them. It is a winner-loser situation and if you dont try to fuck the other guy over then he'll come around and do it to you when you arent expecting it.

I personally feel that the appropriate time for the federal US decriminalization was in the 80's. If we weren't going to grow up about it then, it was just showing how brainwashed the voting country is about it. Ronald Reagan was against mj wholeheartedly, yet we hear about him and his wife delving into astrology. His mindset was not solely christianity-based, therefore. America just needs to be educated about the Dow Chemicalsmear campaign against mj, and the fact that it was the no.1 cash crop of the early United States to see that we have been sheep. Perhaps the textile industry would be upset too greatly by cheap hemp. I think it's more that the gov't doesn'tadmit that itmisled the public very easily, and it would rather keepup the facade that plants like mj and coca leaf are just basically evil, and we could all just do betterto make them extinct.

What offends me most is that the average public believes the bull shit that the government instills in the minds of its citizens with its propaganda campaigns. It's bad enough that practically all the countries in the world have followed America's leadership in drug laws, but the citizens have been fooled into believing that the laws are for their benefit. Maybe someday in the future this will all change. Hopefully before we're too old to enjoy fine, high quality, good price, quality checked, legaldrugs.
