Drug info - "shelf life" of speed?

Hi there,

New at posting here so forgive me if I have posted in wrong place etc.

SWIM was wondering how long before speed starts to deteriorate and loose its potency?

Is there anyway of storing it to keep it fresher longer?

SWIM gave up speed for 2 and a half years. She found a little bit when cleaning her room (likely to clinical standards but that's a different story) on the resumption of her little habit... and it worked just fine................Saying that it was in a dark cool place (desk drawer) do maybe that might've helped?And of course the non existent tolerance?)

Expiration dates on pills are bogus for the most part.

It is possible that the pills start losing effectiveness after a while (especially if being stored in sub-optimal conditions), BUT IF THE PILLS TURNED HARMFUL, THERE'S NO WAY IN HELL THE FDA WOULD APPROVE THEM!

As with any chemical reaction.. the way to prevent/slow it down is to keep it cool and away from light. There are plenty of meds that get broken down by heat and light, but none that I know of that turn toxic because you kept them too long.

Is it speed base or is it a prepared salt?
If it is an oily substance it is base. If it is a pharmaceutical tablet or capsule it is a salt.

ah, didnt realize he might not be talkin about the prescription pills.

If it's freebase it'll probably fare better if you convert it into a salt with a tight bond, then convert it back to base when ready to use.

The best way is to keep away from moisture. Keep it air tight. SWIm heard that the salts seems to react with those zippo lock bag.
Using those glass like bag seal by heat and keep in a cool area away from strong light and heat...

Don't store it in a bag.. store it in one of those yellow-brown Rx bottles.

Those bottles are specifically designed to store medications, they're generally air tight and the coloring protects it from light (Think about it, it costs extra $ to make it that color, they're not doing it for nothing)

Swim tends to keep his in the freezer if he has large amounts but not usually longer than a week, in a bag of course.

SWIM is referring to some "glass"-liked bag, if you get what SWIM mean. The knowledge was from his friend. SWIT get to see it when his friend was doing some repacking and ask him why the double packaging....and currently his friend is in some particular cell making chalk marking on the wall.
