Pod Identification (pic)

Can someone tell me what this pod is? Most of the poppies around here are oriental but this one is significantly larger so I'm hoping somniferum? It's only one plant so if it's any good I'll probably make some tea once it's spent.Edited by: Wabbit

were the petals pink? if so then i came across the same danm one, same pod. no the fact is is that u can tell poppy plants by there round pod, wich looks like a green, and sometimes slighltly blue tinted globe. the crown is usually very hard looking and doesn´t cover the whole pod top the leaves are also a bluish green. do a google search for the poppy plant on web then pictures to get an idea. by the way what type of coin is that?

you still might to be able to get some effects from the latex that
leaks from the pod, so you should save them anyways, no morphine though.

A lotof the rest of thepapaver family actualy have very small or trace amounts of analgesic alkaloids in.

swis was told that any poppy with hairy stalks are usually poisonous/useless, they gotta look rubbery/sorta
