Extraction - cleaning up goo from a water extract.

A large trash bag worth of grandmas poppys was CWE then hot water extracted and the tea evaporated down to goo,is there any way to clean this up into something more smokable?

There are many posts on this. SWIM is guessing it's filtered, so dry it.

Try re-dissolving goo in an acidic aqueous solution. Lizard finds that most of the sediment and sticky stuff remains behind (much less soluble than opiates) and the light amber-colored goodies can be siphoned off of a tall, narrow glass vessel leaving behind only a small amt. of liquid (which can then be used as a low-grade edible putty).

Perhaps someone with more info regarding solubilities (or willing to risk a small test sample) could look into non-polar solvents to remove whatever sticky lipids that come over from the above. Chloroform is suitable if one only cares about morphine.

One could also rehydrate it and let it sit in an air tight jar for a week or so (chilled). This would help the particulate settle and then it could be removed.
