Living in 2 diferent dimensions

SWIMM is a user of a lot of substances and likes the psihadelic ones. Sometimes he feels like he is living in 2 different dimensions when he is on drugs and when he is lucid. He has the fealing that the lucid state is just another state of mind like it is the state of mind on DXM, on extzy, pot etc. He is theoreticly lucid about half the time he is on drugs but it seem to him that he is a lot more in the "drug dimension" than it is in the real world. That is probably cause time last longer in the drug dimension. Have any onther Swiys have this fealing ?

Re: Living in 2 diferent dimensions

SWIM would say there is an infinite amount of dimensions (SWIY already wrote that, mindstates on pot and mdma for example cannot be compared). That said, you can also claim, that there is only one dimension with different appearances. If you meditate sober (do nothing, really nothing) without the will to gain anything from it (change consciousness etc.), you will loose the tendency to freak out when observing another instance of the oneness. What in the end remains is the impression, that trips aren't necessary anymore, because on a trip you just meet another disguise of god. If a person begins too early with abusing potent substances, it is difficult for him/her to comprehend, what actually is going on (SWIM included, we all shall prepare). The persons tends to speculate too much.

SWIY mentioned, that time is expanded, when on certain substances. For SWIM it is not possible to generalize that, every substances has different impact on the felt time window. Perhaps SWIY gets the feeling, that "time lasts longer", because it is something non-monotonous what he/she undergoes and later he/she remembers more from it than from every-day-life-activities. Another possibility is, that SWIY smokes weed with every drug, weed amplifies the felt time window.

Re: Living in 2 diferent dimensions

Swim was reading about the remote viewing experiments that were done back in the cold war era. Not to bring in that creepy subject, lol, but the article was about how the most heightened states are acheived in Theta brain states. It is supposedly when you are on the verge of sleeping or losing waking consciousness and still lucid. When you can shut down the electricity in the brain and all the constant chatter of thoughts it is easier to step out of the brain and into this kind of 'Universal One Mind' the collective unconscious. Not sure if Swim believes this or not but it will be something Swim will look into more. It also seems to be a more vulnerable state in some ways because you soak a lot more in.

Re: Living in 2 diferent dimensions

SWIM occasionally realizes he is dreaming and is concious in his dream state,
SWIM finds his dream world reflects the real world but distorts it as if he is
influencing it somehow. SWIM recommends that SWIY practice meditation, it
has helped SWIM understand a lot more about what he thought was real and
imaginary.

Yes it's called lucid dreaming, one can train on that sort of dreaming. In lucid dreams you can change your personality or make one's soul come out of his body by jumping of a high altitude (in one's dream ofcourse). Lucid dreaming is very intresting (AFOAF has experienced several of them). One should try to train this and he'll see what surprises await him

Re: Living in 2 diferent dimensions

Yes SWIM has often used the wake back to bed technique, he has done a lot of research on lucid dreams and finds them incredibly when he has one. SWIM often comes across very paranormal things during lucid dreaming..

Well... being lucid or being high are in fact just states of mind. They are just different.

BTW, even if most nowadays science may disagree, there is no evidence that the sober state is "better" than the "high" states. The sober state can be the most useful for the physical survival of a human being in the world and society we live nowadays, but its only useful, and not "better" in some absolute way.

For different tasks (than strict physical survival), some other mind states can be more useful. For example, for many creative processes (song composing, painting, etc) being high on cannabis (or some other psychedelic) is much more productive than being sober.

There is an excellent book about this, written by a psychologist called Charles Tart.

States of Consciousness

It can be read online, and swim recommends it for anyone interested in this subjects.

Another suggestion is to use lucid dreaming as a catalyst to an out of body experience. Charles Tart was one researcher interested in out of body experiences. "Journeys Out of the Body," by Robert Monroe, is another intriguing read. "The Projection of the Astral Body" (Sylvan Muldoon and Hereward Carrington) is a very detailed read on out of body experiences, published in 1929. I have heard, though, that drug use actually does not facilitate an out of body experience. I am not sure if you are interested in going beyond lucid dreaming (which is enjoyable in itself), out of body experiences can be quite fun. I have had a couple myself (no drugs involved). Real or not, they are cherished memories.

I've read the book of R. Monroe it was very intresting! Can you have a OBE when you want to, I mean when you are ready? Having an OBE without drugs is much better for your aura. Using drugs makes holes in your aura and it also has a negative influence on your spiritual developement.
With an OBE you can also learn the meaning of life...

Re: Living in 2 diferent dimensions

The dimensions are as simple as having an ego, and letting it die.

Beyond that though there are dimensions our brains simply can not detect consciously.

Re: Living in 2 diferent dimensions

One's diet helps one focus to what dimension they want to be in, so this part doesn't require anything illegal.

Sometimes it is easy to relate the things one eats, drinks, smokes, or otherwise assimilate as filters of multidimensions. Think of a camera with its filters, and the concept is kinda of the same.
