Help with weird withdrawal....
SWIM abused many times GHB in the past....Each time the withdrawals were getting worse and worse...
Therefore SWIM decided to take GHB in small 2-3 days binges followed by half a day or a day off..... A month ago SWIM mixed GHB with some wellbutrin and even after a 3 day binge the witdrawal felt like after a 3 week binge!!!! SWIM took a week off and started taking again GHB but this time only 3-4 times a day and at night he took baclofen so he could sleep... In the morning however he felt his feet cold which was a sign that probably the dopamine rebound was still on! After two weeks he felt the worst withdrawal from his life!!!!! His pulse was irregular his feet cold and sweaty all the time, he felt anxiety,etc... After three days this symptoms dissapeared and he could get a good night sleep without the help of any benzos or baclofen.... The fourth day however around 6PM the withdrawal symptoms started again!!!!!! His pulse increased dramatically he started to sweat, he couldn't sleep,etc.... This is the fifth day and SWIM doesn't understand why does he feel so bad? Two days ago everything was perfect! When will things get back to normal? |

Re: Help with weird withdrawal....
Baclofen has its own withdrawal symptoms. This seems like a possible explanation for what's going on with swiy. Try abstaining from GHB and tapering from the baclofen.

Re: Help with weird withdrawal....
Baclofen gives withdrawal symptoms only after a couple of months of use...He only took it for two weeks(25-50mg each day) with a 1 day break.
After SWIM quit GHB he took it only the first two days of the withdrawal to help him sleep. He slept another two days without any baclofen, but the fifth day the withdrawal symptoms apperead again.... Last edited by MrG; 20-07-2009 at 08:28. Reason: S.I. |

Re: Help with weird withdrawal....
Ten days past since his last dose and SWIM can still feel the effects of the withdrawal... For five days SWIM slept fine at night, and he has no problems but during the day his feet are cold and a little sweaty...He also feels tingles and his muscle are slowly twitching sometime.
SWIM also took for the last days atenolol in the morning and evening to prevent any heart problems..... Could this be the cause of the problem? SWIM is afraid to quit atenolol because he might experience another tachycardia episode. |

Re: Help with weird withdrawal....
Twelve days passed without GHB and 48 hours without atenolol.
Yesterday SWIM was fine his feet were a little cold and sweaty in the morning but got warm around 4PM. Today around 12AM SWIM experienced another tachycardia episode. His feet aren't that cold like the other days but he feels a rush in his hand and feet like an electrical current..... Is this normal?????? After twelve days? |
