off zyprexa (Olanzapine), looking for a new sleeping pill

was using zyprexa (atypical antipsychotic) as a sleep aid...stopped it maybe 3 weeks ago. Which is ok, except swim have shit sleep...usually takes hours to get to sleep/sleepiness and the quality is usually pretty poor.

swim want to try something thats not habit forming, possibly for a month. Looking for sound sleep, so something that aids in getting to sleep and keeping asleep...no fast acting ones..prefer something long acting

in swims country doctors tend to only prescribe government subsidised medications, usually zopiclone. Swim believes zopiclone to be notoriously habit forming (met people who went to rehab just to stop the stuff..)

Re: off zyprexa, looking for a new sleeping pill

Ask your doctor about trazodone.
It is non addictive, but it never fails in getting Y off to sleep.
