This is so nuts but swim is putting it out there. She yeah did too much speed, no sleep knowing she had to get 'rid of it" She is now petrified she is being followed, people in the house, and fixing to get arrested. Is swim just losing it because of too much speed?

The fact that SWIY has identified it as paranoia is a good thing. If SWIY was really 'losing it', s/he wouldn't be able to distinguish the rational thoughts from the irrational.

My pet ghost suggests forcing some food down, drinking plenty of liquid and maybe having a benzo if possible

You read swim's mind. LOL, she is eating an eggroll as she writes. There was a time when swim thought it was really happening now she recognizes it for what it is.

Once this kitty thought a bike in a friend's hallway was Marilyn Manson shooting her (with a gun not a needle groan( Another time she thought three men ordering chips (or fries to all you americans) were conspiring to kill her... when she acknowledged that this was all paranoia and projection, and did the unthinkable (SLEEP!) all was restored to relative normalcy...Still, even now, in these days of her strictly callibrated habit, she still sometimes thinks, in her more baroque moments of fear, that the police helicopter circling ahead is bound STRAIGHT FOR HER FLAT...rather than off to rearrest someone who has escaped from jail or something....

That reminds swim of the time when she had a major binge, then when coming down, she thought she had a swat team at her door. She could see them clearly. She yelled they won't get me alive and started shooting a 12 gauge out the door. That was the worst. Thank God it isn't that bad.

Did you actually shoot the gun?

If so.. that's pretty fucked up, that would get the *REAL* swat team at your door in no time if you have neighbors close by.

this is swim's fear with uppers.. that he'll start taking them, won't stop, be up for a week and start freaking out and doing really fucked up things.

Yep it was very fucked up, but swim lived in the country so no swat will come there over that. Swim hasn't done anything that fucked up like that in years.

No it was all in swim's mind. They looked as real as any person she sees. Swim will never forget that memory.

Swim realised this, she has an odd sense of humour, and thinks that dry sardonic humour does not translate well in type at times!..........These experiences are good because they teach one not to take it to that degree. Because normally that kind of crazy stuff only happens when serious sleep deprivation is happening, well swim only had seriously flipped out hallucinations which actually played out like a film when she was awake for five days and more. Well actually she has never been up for more than six days.............................................. ..............................Main reason for that being that after that, she does tend to star in that unwanted miniseries, Amphetamine Psychosis......................................... ......five episodes now and don't want a sixth!

What SWIM describes is a very common effect of amphetamines.
Y has had this mindstate on them, and although it was pure fiction, it does feel convincing at the time.
SWIM should try and get some rest.
Does he have any downers in the house.
Not that Y advocates downers, but in times like this, the odd one does not go amiss.
SWIM could also try and eat, then rest.
This symptom will fade.
Sleep, food and replenishment of vitamins/minerals.

Swim broke her computer mouse in a rage last night. Yeah she woulda got angry without speed, but most definitely it ramped it up a few notches, so she is taking great personal risk and typing this at work.... more paranoia! Of course she will remove all traces...
About the gun, this is what gives the cat the jitters when in America, the idea of unstable people having access to them... but saying that the same applies in Blighty if you know who to ask...
Kitty is working 8 days this week, and so will be using that as an excuse to avail herself of her poisoned kitty treats... although she is sleeping the sleep is bad quality as she can't do it in work so has to do it at 6pm...
Anyway enough of that!
