Opium basics

swim has come across a bit of opium and wants to smoke it. is the match head sized piece on foil the best method? ive heard of balling it up, sticking it on the top of a tack(then stick it in something stable), lighting and covering with a cup, then lifting and sucking out the smoke so no smoke is wasted...any thoughts?

SWIM harvested his poppies and found out that the color of the seeds were brown.
The actual plant looked the same like papaver somniferum but seems that it isn't p. somniferum because the color of the seeds is brown.
Or is it?

Dried pods have plenty of opium left in them correct? These can be brewed to make tea...but what if Swim decided he would instead grind them up and throw them in a Bong? Swim has read that people sometimes put the leaves into a water pipe, but Swim reckons it would be more effective just crushing up a nice pod into the bowl

No that does not work. It would work if one wanted to extract the opium from the dried pod using the CFO method or the ISO method but an Iguana would be left extremely disappointed with a pretty bad taste in their mouth if they tried to smoke crushed pods in a bong.

On another note, the leaves contain almost NO alkaloids what-so-ever so the people whom are doing that are not very bright and would be lying about the effects. Like kids smoking banana skins and going "woah man, im so stoned"

40 or 50 poppies just to produce 2 grams is EXTREMELY low yes.

SWIM usually gets anywhere from 0.2gr to 0.5gr of dried latex from each pod.
Different things can determine how much is yielded. How skilled the person is at incising the pod, the temperature, the maturity of the pod, the variety of Papaver Somniferum, etc etc.

A skilled worker "may" harvest as much as has been stated but there is no way to pre-determine the yield of latex one will get.

Swim was watching some online vids today and the people on this easily accessed movie were making as many as 11 incisions on the opium poppy, leaving it to dry overnight and getting a shitload of medium out of 1 plant with very basic tools.

Once latex dries properly and is ready to smoke it is actually quite light in weight. Even lighter if one then "cooks" the opium. 0.2g to 0.5g is about normal for a variety that bleeds well.

SWIM thinks he knows of the video of which SWIyou speak.
Much more than 11 incisions can be made on any 1 pod (depending on how it well it bleeds) and what seems to be a lot dried to be quite light. One has to remember that the scraper that they are using is the same one from plant to plant also. They go back and forth scraping from each plant with the opium building up on the scraper.

Haha if SWIM is using his imagination he thinks SWIY found the same vid, by any chance does a reporter infiltrate and be welcolmed by the hardcore farmers, watch the process, drink some tea and then the next day be given half an aluminium can and get left with the quote by the lead farmer, 'i give you this for free and next year you be begging me for come back here and work for free'

Yep, thats the one. He partakes of tea at night time with them and seems a bit scared on what the effects are going to be. Was filmed in Egypt SWIM thinks.

So Bartholomew wants to get high on opium (he's a drug-seeking junkie but he's imaginary so he doesn't really exist).He found a patch with about 20-30 pods.His plan is to scratch the shit out of each pod using a razor blade and letting them bleed for 3h.Then gathering the latex, dry it and smoke it.He heard that as much as a match head is enough.He's a thrill seeker so he's gonna do about 2-3 times that much.
Also he wants to smoke it in a tin foil pipe.He is going to twist it around a pen and then remove the pen so it's like a tube, then turn one end up(shaping it like a pipe) so it's vaporized with a lighter from below.
Is he going to have a succes..or an epic fail?

If SWIM licks the sap directly how bad is it?, would the effect be stronger or weaker than if dried?

swim is wondering if there is a page on hear to help swim diffinetvly identivy opium containg poppy's as they no other species also contain opium other than Papaver Somniferum. swim has been finding diffirent poppy's alover this summer. they no the red ones with black are onimental. but they have found some two tone 1's pink and purple, also some purple 1's however the two tone 1's where of corect hight. purple ones where small but that could of been down to where they here growing as very little sun light.
also how does one go about useing a brass opium pipe properly?
