Drug info - Is strange mood related to varying effexor use?

I've been on effexor for about 6 months now. I started on a very small 37.5 mg doseage for a week and then was on a 75 mg dose for about 4 months. After that I started using 2 pills in the morning (and told my psych so) so I was up to 150 mg a day. I've had trouble taking them daily for about the past 2 months though and have ran out now for about 3 days.

So far my mood is extremely depressed, detached, angry, lethargic, and irritable. I have high stress factors also, I'm about to move from home, currently have to find a job in the new city, my PS3 (mah baby) and car have just broke down, have serious issues with my friends, and my girlfriend just left me. So yeah, that doesn't help.

Anyways I've been getting really detached lately though and am starting to not care about life, not suicidal (although it is a past issue), it's hard to explain. How much of this do you think is related to unsteady use of Effexor and coming off of it so rapidly? I should be scheduling a doctor appointment ASAP to get more but it could take another week or more. I also use to take Xanax for my extreme anxiety disorder and had to quit after an incident about a month ago, could that also be playing a role?

A little more info for this already too long post. I've started smoking cigarettes lately. Swim had been drinking heavily the past month and smoking marijuana occasionally and is in my same situation, maybe they have a very bad mix of chemicals going. They keep using all of those though since each tends to help get through the days in their own special way.

(I hope it's ok to say that I take these since they are prescribed and legal, wasn't positive though)
