Question Obtaining prescriptions of benzodiazepines AND amphetamines at the same time.

Swim has read about a few cases where somebody goes to the doctor and gets a diagnosis of not only generalized anxiety disorder, but also ADHD.

Swim honestly believes he suffers from both of these problems, and even though seeking out a certain drug instead of behind completely honest with a psychiatrist is a bad idea, he does not care. He is determined to get prescriptions for alprazolam(or other good benzos) and amphetamines at some point in time. That said..

Panic attacks are a daily part of swim's life it seems. And so is ADHD. Adderall tends to greatly reduce anxiety in swim for the most part. Although, upon coming down, it's worse than before, at least for a day or two. Yet, alprazolam fixes swim's panic attacks completely, but still, he feels unmotivated, unable to pay attention, and just overall, less sharp.

While combining the two drugs though, he feels absolutely perfect. No anxiety. He likes doing stuff. Even little things that he normally blows off like cleaning, applying for jobs, and writing. He normally doesn't even finish movies without ADHD medicine.

Swim is setting up an appointment at a regular doctor, not a psychiatrist(because the local health department doesn't have psychiatrists, and that's the only discount doctor he can go to in his area. He lacks insurance and money in general), but he just told them it's because he has panic attacks.

He didn't want to start out sounding like a drug abuser or a hypochondriac by going "Oh I have back pain and I get panic attacks and I think I have ADHD and I don't sleep well a lot at night."

He chose to set up the appointment around anxiety for a few reasons. Swim never has xanax when he needs them. He can get adderall easier through friends. And living with ADHD is easier than having panic attacks every day. Especially in social situations. But he's still determined to get BOTH drugs.

Is there some way swim can smoothly explain that he thinks he has both problems?

"I think I have ADHD or something. I get panic attacks a lot and I can't pay attention worth a crap. I never finish anything I start. I got in like three car accidents in a year. I always stare down the road and blank out. Etc."

Would something like that work? Just saying, "I think I might have ADHD" and then listening anxiety symptoms too? Any better suggestions besides "Tell swiy not to do drugs?"
