Comedown - GHB or Codeine for MDMA comedown?

SWIM i wondering if taking GHB after rolling will allow him to sleep.
SWIm is also wondering if take codeine after ecstasy will ease the come down.

My raver friend found no help from codeine on the come-down from the effects of ecstasy, it only helped because he had just danced for hours and his body was sore. Also he has never taken GHB but he would think it could be too euphoric but should be able to act as a sedative.

SWIM had a lot of dreams about coming down from e , it all depends on SWIY metabolism . some people like codeine for different reasons. it might keep SWIY up or make SWIY tired. SWIM opinion regarding codeine is that it is junk, that's because SWIM has a paradoxical affect when taking different pain killers, and enjoy them for that reason , doctors will tell people that opiates make you drowsy. so since SWIY is asking SWIM would guess that SWIY doesn't know what affect it has when ingested..... and when SWIY refers to coming down, what is the intended result.? sleep , or just not feeling that horrible crash? like SWIM said, codeine is junk, ....in SWIMS, dream hydrocodone takes the edge of , but SWIM does not sleep on hydrocodone nor does SWIM take it solo . The beast dream SWIM has is taking ketamine after e. Ketamine is powerful and almost instantly negates and overpowers other chemicals....once the ketamine wears of it's like boing sober.....now if SWIY is looking for a pharmaceutical solution,(one that SWIY could get script for) , xanax or ristoril will put anyone to sleep , they are both benzo's but ristoril is a sleeping pill. SWIM always dreams about taking multiple drugs though, the right combination will enhance each other...or be fatal , so use caution...

Well SWIM would like to go to sleep after rolling but if that isn't possible, than taking the edge off the come down would be the next best thing.

SWIM has tried over the counter sleeping aids with little to no success. SWIM has also tried smoking a few joints(swim hates pot) but that was also an epic fail.

So basically SWIM would like to know if taking GHB, ketamine, codeine or anything any swimmers can come up know of that will help SWIM dose off into drug induced sleep.

Any suggestions?

benzos are great for this purpose but couldn't imagine the recreational edge being terminated by any of the substances mentioned by SWIY.

GHB/Gbl/bdo are all really good to come down from pretty much any stimulant. A medium dose after some mdma gives swim this great feeling in his chest like all his stress is gone. This might be a good time to:

get a blowjob
eat
sleep

The only problem with using GHB as a sleep-aid in this context is the 'rebound' effect that people sometimes note. Since it has activity at both GABAb and GHB (I know, creative, huh?) receptors, the general inhibition is followed by a small stimulation due to the activity at the GHB receptor. At first, GHB enhances gabaergic transmission at GABAb receptors. Over a few hours, however, this activity isn't sufficient to inhibit the stimulation thought to be derived from GHB receptor activation, suggested to be modulated by rises in glutamate and/or dopamine. After ingesting MDMA, this 'rebound' effect might be anticipated to be an issue in some when trying to sleep.
My pet-chimp agrees with RaverHippie; benzodiazepines are really the best for this. Opiates aren't a dangerous option, but aren't as ideal for inducing sleep as benzodiazepines.
