Other - Incising pods mutiple times over duration?

swim heard that the pods can be sliced multiple times over a duration of like a week to ten days. should swim only do one slice at a time for this to work? Swim cut some 4 of 5 times a few days ago and tried again today and nothing came out. Any tips on technique would be appreciated. fwiw swim uses a razor blade taped so only the very tip can do the slicing.
