Poppy Tea questions
SWIM's process is that when he comes home, he picks out enough pods to make at least 1-2 cups of "poppy straw", grind them up, pour another cup of hot water in, and add lemon juice. He lets this sit for exactly 30 minutes, then strains. SWIM then like to mix it with grapefruit juice, which brings him to his first question:
1. Which type of Grapefruit Juice works best to potentiate poppy tea?
SWIM heard White, but there seems to be some disagreement on this. He usually buys each flavor, to experiment with, and thus far SWIM hasn't been able to objectively tell which is better. SWIM know the Ruby Red tastes better, probably because of the higher sugar content, but he's looking for whatever works best.
SWIM also use DXM pills to potentiate the PT... He has noticed a definite effect from using DXM, but he's not sure if he should be taking it earlier in the process, or if he should take more... SWIM usually takes about 50mg 1-2 hours after drinking the first cup, but-
2. What dosage of DXM should be taken, and when should it be taken in the process?
Also, regarding other possible potentiators..
3. SWIM's read references to "cimetidine, tagamet, famotidine, and Calcium Carbonate". Which of these would work better than what he's doing now? SWIM's pretty much clueless about any of these substances.
SWIM's next question is what he's most curious about. As you can imagine, doing this process every single day is a real pain in the ass. If only he could do it all at once, and be good-to-go for the whole week...
4. How long does PoppyTea stay potent in refridgeration? Could SWIM make several large batches at once, filling up jugs and storing them for later in the week? Would he lose any potency?
This last question is what he's most curious about. If SWIM could do it all at once, it would save him alot of hassle, and annoyance. (SWIM's girlfriend is starting to get fed up with the sound of the blender sawing up pods each day after work!)
Anyways, thanks for reading this far, and for any help you may be able to provide. Even providing links would be great,
Peace!
