Where would you recommend?

"Afternoon all, Newbie here, so go easy on me!

After 12 years of smoking in the UK, I have decided to give it up. (Mixture of starting my own business, pressure from the mrs and poor quality in Scotland) I have decided to take a trip to Amsterdam every 6 months as a happy medium, my last 2 trips were a lot of fun and Id rather save the cash that smoke rubbish!

My Question is... If you had 48 hours to smoke, what would you do? Last time i was there i really enjoyed the dolphins and rookies, but I am staying up on haarlemstraat from Monday next week so dont want to waste my time in tourist traps or wandering in a hazy circle for hours!

Swim has not been to Amsterdam (yet! ) to able to suggest any coffeeshops. However, there are several Amsterdam coffee shops reviewed in the Coffeeshop Reviews forum. Swiy might find some leads there.

Honestly man just get off at Amsterdam Centraal and follow your nose. When SWIM was in Amsterdam he was amazed at how anyone could have any problems finding a coffeeshop.

Will say though some places I liked were the Grass hopper in the green light, the Bulldog lounge (Not the original but seemed much more relaxed and had free wi-fi aswell). PrixDAAMi or what ever just like there in the one of the first little alleys off the damrak has a really nice pool room and pretty cool and mixed up crowd, kinda place where u will see some monster splifs passed table to table.

Another awsome place, although not a coffeeshop is "The Doors", it must be one of the last places in Amsterdam where you can have a beer, joint and ciggarette all in one place. Cool selection of music and nice little joint room aswell, plus the beer is cheap enough.

Swim's hat was advised to go where the Dutch go, Central.
Just stumble out of the train station and aim left.
It is sort of across from the bus end of the train station.
