Just wondering what people consider to be the closestsubstanceto shrooms. A FOAF is trying to see how his lab monkeys respond to such chemicals, especially the visuals

I would say that visual-loving labmonkeys get excited from 4-ho-mipt.
They always want more and I even don't need to feed them or give them something else...they are just satisfied. ![]() |

If you look at chemical cousins, it is the 4-hydroxy series. 4-HO-DIPT, 4-
HO-DET, 4-HO-MIPT are examples of them. |

I was cosidering starting my experiments with 4-HO-DET seeing as it is the closest structurally to 4-HO-DMT (psylicin). When able to, i will report on what the monkeys experienced |

4-AcO-DET/4-HO-DET seems to be the RC that most consider to be like mushrooms. A lot of people say they can't even tell the difference between them and mushrooms. Edited by: PenguinPhreak |

I will assume you meant to type 4-HO-DET there. But I would have to disagree regardless. While 4-OH(HO)-DET is a close cousin, My monkey - Bongo - found it to lack the soul that psilocybin has. It has all the visual and auditory bells and whistles, but it lacks the feeling. Seems to be utterly contrived. Bongo says miprocin and iprocin come much closer to psilocybin/psilocin overall. In some ways - even better than.

4-ho-mipt does come close to shrooms, but I suspect 4-ho-met might come even closer.

Quote:
Do you have any idea of why is there this lack of soul ? Does in your opinion the presence of DNA in shrooms have an impact ? I came to this idea after reading a quote about de DMT experience. The text spoke about the trip differences between DMT for ayahuasca and synthetic DMT, saying that ayahuasca has a more "organic" aspect than the synthetic DMT. |

Why and how this differs in it's feeling-tone is one of those things that Aldous Huxley was fond of calling "ineffable." Beyond words. A feeling. Can you put a soul, or spirit, in a flask and weigh it? Nope. Might it have something to do with DNA? Might. Might it have something to do with the price of cheese in France? Might. Your turn.

Iprocin (4-Ho-DiPT) is very shroom like, but much shorter in duration. It is also probably slightly more stimulating than psilocin.
