Purity - How stable is ketamine?

Well SWIM has a 3 gram order of K coming in the mail, however SWIM has just started prozac treatment a week ago (I really need it badly) and SWIM just found out that prozac dimishes the effects of ketamine, so I probably would not be able to use the ketamine for a few years.

Now my question is, how stable is the ketamine and would it lose any of its potency if stored in a film cannister wrapped up in tin foil for a few years?

SWIM thinks Ketamine is very stable, but just to be sure, SWIM suggest two ways for keeping it from possible degradation over several years:

1. If SWIY's Ketamine is very pure: then he should dissolve it in some distilled water, put it in a small air-tight glass bottle and keep it in fridge. Using container with dark glass is recommended, cuz it protects against light and many commercial vials of Ketamine are stored in black tinted containers. SWIY can also wrap black electrical tape around the bottle. when needed SWIY can pour it in some dish and let the water evaporate, leaving Ketamine to be scratched off.

2. If SWIY's ketamine is has junk/additives or he is not sure about its purity, or for what ever reason he doesn't want to go through above steps, then he should store it in an air-tight container (like a film canister) in current powder form and keep it in fridge.

For the record, SWIM once had a vial of Ketamine which was 5 years old, he noticed no loss of potency. and it was not even stored in fridge. but in SWIM's case the Ketamine was stored in pure form (e.g no additives/junks which may overtime degrade K) in company.
