Best Anxiolytic Nootropics?

SWIM recently ordered some PEA and a small amount of Phenibut. Which of the two would do the best at subsiding anxiety in SWIM? Does anyone have a better recommendation as to a better anxiolytic nootropic?

Kava: MAO-B + GABAergic agonist = focused relaxation

or if SWIY is like SWIM a very low dose of cannabis clears thought, provides inspiration, and motivation.
PEA is inactive... proven by Ann Shulgan in PiKHAL (Phenthylamines i Have Known And Loved).

Re: Best Anxiolytic Nootropics?

When shulgin says no effects he means no acute mental, perceptual, or cns effects. There is nothing in there about use as a nootropic, and, while I am not aware of what research there is about it, a fairly large number of people find large doses of PEA to help with things such as mild depression, withdrawal symptoms (even for things like cocaine), etc.

According to wikipedia it is a neurotransmitter as well as a precursor for several other important chemicals (oxytocin, a hormone used in creating feelings of trust and bonding, comes to mind). It is quite likely that it's use as a supplement could have beneficial nootropic/antidepressant use.

EDIT: So depending on the source of swiop's anxiety it could well help a lot. Phenibut is meant to have quite good anxiolytic effects too. swim sees no reason why the two would be incompatible, so it may just be worth it for swiop to take each seperately for a while and see what they do, and then together. Do note that phenibut has anxiety-induring withdrawals after regular use so it is important to cycle off it regularly.
