Journal - My day has finally come. SWIM must quit heroin.. Kinda scared, help!

So shit hit the fan yesterday.
SWIMs been on heroin for 7 months now every day, doing about .4 to .8 a day, smoked. Black tar.

I know, other people have much worse addictions. But everyones different, and SWIM is really really addicted. He gets miserable withdrawals just 24 hours after his last use, and possibly worse than his physical addiction is his mental addiction.
SWIMs whole family found out though, and he has to do something to fix it. He made an appointment with a place that says they do methadone and suboxone treatment.

SWIM really wants to try suboxone, something about it he really believes will work for him. He's scared, he has to go to the place today. What should he say/do to get on suboxone? Will they let SWIM choose his method of treatment, like can he just say "I want to try the suboxone detox" or what?

Help SWIM please, encourage him. He isn't making any promises because he doesn't want to disappoint anyone or himself, but he's going to honestly try for the first time.
