Clonazepam contributing to increased height?

Whats up all, a small introduction. The Swim started partying with clonazepam about 3 weeks ago at moderate to high dosages. The Swims first dose was 3 MG, followed by 4 MG and up to 7 MG. The Swim was not addicted at all to k-pins, he often went days without taking any, and would only take them on days he partied with his girlfriend. However, not realizing just how serious the withdrawal symptoms of k-pins are, it was soon that The Swim started experiencing muscle spasms and mild tremor attacks just before The Swim went to sleep. This only happened a couple of times, and after some extensive research The Swim realized this was unlike any other other drug and decided to taper down the proper way from it. The Swim is on his last day of k-pins and has taken his final half of 0.5 mg pill, The Swim did not even feel like he needed half of a k-pin today, and is no longer suffering from lack of motivation and feeling that he had last week, so everything is good.

However, The Swim realized that in the last 3 weeks he has grown up to 1.5 inches in height. This came as a pleasant surprise to The Swim as he is fairly short (5 foot 8), but is now 5 foot 9 and a half which surprised a number of people including The Swims parents and girlfriend. The Swim knows that he is still young, yet past the age where most people assume you stop growing. Could it be that because of The Swims genetics he is still in a growing stage, or was it possible that the Clonazepam contributed to making The Swim grow taller? The Swim understands how k-pins affect the brain. Is it possible that Clonazepam speeds up the aging process, which in turn is what made The Swim increase in height? Has anyone else experienced this? Or was The Swim just lucky enough that his genetics are allowing him to still grow in height at his age? The Swim would appreciate all answers, thank you.

Re: Clonazepam contributing to increased height?

Swim has not heard anything about clonazepam, or any benzodiazepine for that matter, speeding up the aging process. I think Swiy is just very lucky for growing at this age.

Swim is 5' 6" and hasn't grown at all in 4 years... if Swiy DOES confirm that it was the klonopin, please let swim know

Re: Clonazepam contributing to increased height?

This is the classic case of correlation without causation. Sorry, GABAergic drugs have proven to not hold any effect on development, outside of neurological atrophy.

SWIM could not locate any research based evidence on this. Without properly designed experiments, it's impossible to isolate causation from coincidence.

Because there's never been a need to look into it....? Seriously... SWIY believes it possible for psychoactives such as benzos, barbiturates, and alcohol to cause an INCREASE in height?? A stunting of development is one thing... which the jury is still out on, but increasing in height??? Not possible.
